Comment:

One of a kind. The most humorous professor I've ever had, and it was a class I actually looked forward going to. We took frequent trips (in a van) and it made the class interesting. Sometimes he talked about whatever he felt like, but he's very knowledgeable about so many topics. Two exams: midterm and final. He gives very similar study guides!

I have never enjoyed going to a class as much as this one, I have never laughed that much. Dr. S is probably one of the most knowledgeable prof. at SEMO. Every class period is an adventure, I took it last semester and literally can't quit thinking about it. I don't want any other professor. Class is easy as long as you go, ended up with a 100%

He's crazy! Class discussions every day...usually led to something completely off topic. No book but you don't need it. Everything on the tests comes straight from the discussions. I really extremely enjoyed this class.

Comment:

The class is extremely easy, and Scheibe is a very kind and funny man, but his so-called teaching is a joke. He basically just chats through the whole class, and you learn a lot of awesome animal facts, but you might as well just throw the syllabus away, he doesn't follow it. I did love his class though, it made taking the Gen Ed fun.

Easiest class of my life! All you have to do is show up. We had class discussions every day, and rarely had homework. The tests came verbatim from the discussions. You get attendance points to pad your grade, so you have to show up. He's very understanding and you actually learn a lot. There's no book, so if you miss class get someone's notes!

I took him for Ecology. Most the time he seemed like he was just talking about whatever he felt like on that day, so it can be hard to know what he actually wants you to know. Pay attention to his slides and old tests and you should be fine.(my class had to go out to his little squirrel habitat and hike around doing his skut work

This teacher was very very humorous. It is a very easy class, all you have to do is GO TO CLASS! EVERY TIME! I also talked ot him about my grades at the end of the semester and he was very flexible with me. If you need a BI class, I strongly recommend this teacher.

Scheibe rocks. Though sometimes it got tiring sitting through a two-hour lecture, he always had stories and examples of what he was teaching to keep it interesting. The entire grade on the class is based on a couple of easy homework assignments, lab notebook, and two tests that he curves. He works with his students and is very patient.

I recommend him for any class. He works with your schedule. It is very easy to get an A in one of his classes if you attend class and study for the exams. Great teacher!

Evolution is a fairly easy class. He gets off topic a lot, but it's really fun. I've never laughed that much in class before. Grades are based mainly on three tests, so study for the tests. Take really detailed notes, but some of the little things are on the test. Look at the old tests!! He barely changes them!

Extremely down-to-earth and helpful! If you study old exams and attend class it's not that hard. Requires a lot of memorization but it can be done.
