I've never had a better professor in my life. He completely and forever changed my academic insights. He is hilarious, brilliant, kind and makes you feel like a peer. I have learned so much from him I could literally cry. He is my thesis advisor and I don't know what I'd do without him. Not to mention that he bought coffee every morning for us.

Professor Cutler is so passionate about social theory. He makes it so interesting, but, best of all, is great at explaining it. After having read the material and attending class, I feel I have complete mastery of the material. He is also hilarious and caring, the only reason I gave him a 3 for helpfulness is that he just doesn't answer emails.

Cutler is the boss. He knows his stuff so well. Social theory is one of the very few classes I took at Wesleyan that made me wanna go every single time. He certainly loves going off on tangent, which is great cuz you get to see how those theories can be applied in real politics. It's hard to not love him cuz he is just too awesome.

Woah, what a bad teacher. He pretends to be teaching but doesn't leave you with anything of substance. Avoid this guy if you value your education. He yelled at me once, which was highly unprofessional. I don't know what to say other than that I feel betrayed.

He made me a soc major. His class and teaching are the measuring stick for every other class and professor I have had since. His class is always interesting, the readings are always pertinent, and his grades are fair: if he doesn't you give the grade you wanted, it's because he knows you can do better. Everyone should be required to take his class!

An amazingly engaging lecturer in both content and style. He's always very provocative and interesting. If you want to see your Liberal and progressive assumptions smashed from a radical perspective, he's your guy. There are many good teachers at Wesleyan, but he's one of the few who will completely change the way you see the world.
