Jonathan Rollins is the best professor I've ever had. I took one English class with him in my first year at Ryerson and now I'm in my third year and still thinking about this class I took with him. He is passionate, inspiring and great at his job. The readings were fascinating and the class was incredibly enjoyable. Thank you so much, prof Rollins.

Professor Rollins is a good lecturer, occasionally a bit boring but usually he's really engaging. He certainly made an 8am lecture more bearable. He's pretty transparent about what points are important, if you pay attention to what he's saying it's super easy to hit on the right things on tests. Make sure you get a good TA though, it matters a lot!

Rollins is fantastic! Everything he teaches is very beneficial. His lectures are hilarious and are clear to understand. His slides are basically his "personal notes/hints" If i could, i would take him again!

This class is tough, but worth it. Long conversations about the topic at hand allow for a deeper understanding than just reading articles and copying slides. The only thing I can say is that he might need to be more mindful of giving students breaks in the three hour lectures.

Jonathan Rollins is one of the best professors I have had at Ryerson. He is engaging, personable, and seems to care about his students. He wants you to succeed. He also has a bewitching smile that lights up the room, and he can be quite funny. I would recommend you take one of his classes if you have the chance. It's not a bird course though.

It's my second time to take a class with him, and he does not disappoint. Although he REALLY need to keep track of time during group presentations (going on to 1hr when it only should to be 20-30mins) and he barely gets time to lecture. He asks good discussion questions that make you think and help understand material. Learned a lot.

Professor Rollins gives amazing lectures and really engages with the students. I loved taking this course and although there is a lot of reading, there isn't too much work required as long as you go to class. He does speed through lectures though so make sure you ask questions. He gives good feedback too & doesn't hurt that he's a total hottie.

Pretty awesome. Passionate and very respectful, tries really hard to make the class interesting. Very clear about what he wants on his essays. Exam is a little tough but no surprises whatsoever. Definitely a great English prof.

Prof. Rollins is a genuinely good teacher. It helps that he is so handsome in a boyish way: there is a twinkle in his eye, and he's a spiffy dresser. He is also boisterous: his enthusiasm for Langston Hughes was contagious.

Professor Rollins is great. He knows his material and I found his lectures really engaging. They aren't PowerPoint heavy; the slides are very bare bones and he effectively articulates the key ideas as he lectures. I wouldn't suggest skipping. The only criticism I have is that he sped through lectures, but you could always pause him if needed.

Rollins is cool, it is an English course so there's a lot of reading, but his exam only covers the novels done after the midterm. Sometimes he shows cool videos in lecture (like RuPaul's drag race) but this man SPEEDS through his lectures to get out early. My class was at 8am and you could tell he was not digging the early mornings.

I find that he's a tough marker, and he REALLY takes marks off for technical/grammatical errors (watch your run-ons and comma splices, he catches them all). Overall, a decent prof, but sometimes his lectures feel rushed that you don't get much out of it.

Jonathan is cool and the course was interesting. You don't have to do all the readings for the course because he allows you to discuss film adaptations on the essay. Class was always dismissed early by at least an hour. He gives extensions on the essays. He's super easy going and easy on the eyes too. He's a fair marker.

While the class is very interesting and should be easy, the teacher doesn't seem to care about the students and hardly provides clear guidance. The essays are marked by TAs and show obvious disconnect from what is learned in the class. Your marks will not reflect what you learn in class. Could be better if the teacher actually reads your essays.

Class is straightforward/easy. You show up you pass. You don't really have to read all of the books (only 4). Lectures hardly ever go the full 3 hours. Marks pretty easily and tries.

pretty good class. not hard at all, but it's still good to listen and know what he's talking about so you can relate it in your essays. Definitely read all the required novels, actually a great list of books! Easy grader and you can tell he likes teaching the material for the course.

I wouldn't say this was an easy class but i also wouldn't say it was the worst. He is VERY easy on the eyes (hottest prof I've had for sure), he tries to explain concepts but as a business student, some of the words he uses I have never heard in my life lol. Its an okay class!

Jonathan is very friendly, approachable, and passionate about ENG610. I loved his lectures, and his reading list was excellent. I wish he taught more upper liberal courses. If you don't like English courses, don't take it. Also, he's easy on the eyes and has a very pleasant voice - wish he could teach all of my boring classes...
