Judy is a great teacher and I strongly recommend her. Yes, so is very into detail, but she doesn't make rigid requirements for no reason. She realizes that in the world of science, details are VERY important. Because of her I am now a very thorough note taker. Employers are expecting what she expects, but they wont dock just a grade trust me.

It isn't that she is too picky; she sets a high bar. As a teacher she is a real pro. Occasionally I disagreed with how she scored a problem, but it all works out in the end. If you won't aspire to her standards, you won't be able to handle a real job!

Everyone says she's very nit picky, etc. But take it from me, 4 credits away from a chemistry degree from the U of M, that everything she teaches will help you in the future. I would not have survived p.chem without a vast knowledge of sig figs and other conversions. If you think that SHE is hard, the U of M will eat you alive, guaranteed.

The worst teacher I ever had only cared about detail and not the actual students or concepts of the material she was teaching. An old Brett Farve who should retire all ready. She helps the students who only get A+'s in class and even fixs there mistakes on quizzes and test. I wish she had a heart. Oh well, I am glad I finished in '04.

Extremely detail oriented and nit-pickey about insignificant details on tests and quizes. Really need to study and apply yourself in order to achieve a good grade. Not an easy A

She is a VERY helpful teacher, although picky with peoples' work. The class itself was moderately hard, but with a little studying from the notes or the (not required) homework, the material was pretty easy and straightforward. I actually enjoyed this class a lot thanks to Ms. Chamberlain!

rushed more important (and interesting)work because we spent time on stupid math and measuring desks, learning how to read scales and then writing about it!please, this is college not 3rd grade. nit picky evaluator of work - has favorites. my lab partner put same answers yet receives higher score. easily captivated and brown nosed? then you'll be ok

Teacher is very detailed, and makes her class really challanging. Likes students to be focused at all times. Lots of note taking and expects you to get lab work done. Sometimes difficult to approach her for help.

If you take a chemistry class with Judy Chamberlain, you *will* learn chemistry. Her husband works for a major chem company as a chemist, so she knows how it really works. I've seen how other teachers here at IHCC teach chem, and it doesn't even compare. Too hard? Too bad!Chem isn't simple.

I really hated chem as it is mainly math, but judy makes things interesting with her teaching style. She is VERY thorough in her presentation, and if one pays attention and does all homework and labs you will do well on the test. test are hard but cover material presented and partial credit is given

If you really want to learn chemistry take chamberlin but I warn you she is a stickler for detail. She is very upfront with exactley what is expected. If you do the assigned work,(which is alot) you will understand chemisrty at the end of the semester.
