Keith Finley is amazing. He is always available if you need him. His lectures are super detailed without being boring. He is constantly joking around during them. His test could be difficult for some people (especially if they skip class). Had two 5 page papers. Show up to every class and he practically gives you an A, even if you tested horrible.

Finley is one of my favorite professors. Be ready to listen to a lecture for the entire hour and 15 mins (sometimes even a little longer), but it's worth it. He is very lenient on grading--basically if you come to class and improve with each test/paper, he'll make sure you pass. He really cares about his students and it shows! Take him!!

Comment:
Keith Finleys classes consist of an hour and fifteen minutes of lecturing on history subjects that range from the humble beginnings of America to the American Civil War. He does not provide any other means of earning points other than his tests, which are harder to pass due to his vague teaching style. Stay away from this professor.

Always take Finley if you can. He is amazing and my favorite History teacher. Test are kind of hard but he gives you a study guide and if you are missing anything on it you can send him your study guide and he will edit the whole thing for you so you have the correct answers. Attendance is required but I recommend going.

Attendance isn't mandatory, but if you never go to class the textbook will not help you. If you go to class every day and still end up failing, he'll pass you.

Finley is a great professor. All of his exams are based on the lectures given in class, so if you fail to come to class you won't pass his exams. If he sees that you're trying in class and on the exams then he'll help you out. If I could take him again, I totally would.

Great Professor. He starts out by saying if you come to all classes you won't fail no matter what your test look like. He lectures pretty good so no need to be worried. Test reflect what he talks about in class.

Took online class in Summer; even through an online class with little communication could tell he really cares about students. Wonderful teacher but makes you read multiple books and write detailed papers. There is a lot of freedom in class to write about and discuss what you want/ feel about books and historical topics. Great Teacher, fa show.

Finley knows his stuff. He also knows you are not a History major and stresses that all semester. His lectures can be long, but almost all of the material is important. His tests can be tricky if you don't take good notes or do the study guides he hands out before every test. Overall, great prof. I would suggest him in a heartbeat.

I would take him again. He's a great teacher. He really loves what he's teaching. There were only two tests, midterm and final, and he gave very helpful study guides before each one.

best History professor. you should take good note. He has study guide for every test. If you finish your study guide, come met him, he will take a look of it and tell you what you miss. It helps a lot. His test is not hard if you have good study guide and you learn it seriously. getting an A in his class is easy. dont have to read book at all.

You have three exams. The first is worth 25%, second is worth 35%, and the final is wort 45% of your grade. I absolutely loved this man. Go to class! He reminds you all semester that he rewards you at the end of the semester. "Don't worry, I'll take care of you" that was his phrase when it comes to your grade.

He's a great teacher. Funny as ever! He tells you from the first day show up to my class take good notes try to do well and I will pass you just as simple as that! His test are a bit tricky but not hard just read carefully. If you hate lecture style teachers don't take him. All he puts on the board are important names after that he just talks.

He is awesome! If you don't like history he is the person to take. plus he isn't bad to look at. but he loves what he talks about and and long as you try he gives you the grade you worked for. and not what you actually had.. my test grades averaged to be a 84, but he gave me an A because i always went to class and looked like i payed attention

Have heard nothing but good things about this man. Couldn't fit his class into my schedule so took it online. Easy A if you read or skim the book. Four discussion boards each covering 4 sections and only two tests. Discussion boards are basically participation grades. Dr. Finley comments back with his students and keep things simplistic. Great job

If you can take him DO IT!! He's helpful and understanding and knows that we're not all History majors. He loves teaching and sometimes you don't have to go to every class. But if you do miss it might be difficult to get notes from other classmates. Study guides are given for each test. Take him you won't regret it

One of the best history professors ever. He realizes that not everyone is a history major and adjusts his lower level classes to appeal to non-history majors. Take him! You will not regret it!
