He's not the best not the worst. Every class is just him lecturing for 75 minutes straight. There is a lot of material but overall it is not too hard. Definitely recommend reading the book because his slides are mostly pictures. He's still funny and chill and understanding guy.

Comment:

Ken is super nice and cares about what he teaches, but there is SO MUCH material on the exams. If you attend every lecture you won't have to read the textbook and he genuinely cares who shows up and participates. Get on his good side because he can bump up your grade.

He is very nice professor. His class syllbus is clear even though the lecture may be boring. It is not a hard class but it contains a lot of materials. As long as attending lectures and reading the lecture slides, it should be a easy course.

Attend every lecture and you will never have to open the textbook. Gives five minute daily quizzes on his powerpoints from the previous lecture. He really knows the material and is very eager to teach. Is a very fair grader, especially for the first hourly exam.

Not helpful at all... gets annoyed when you question anything. If you need to meet a basic science requirement, do not take this class! It's tons of info thrown at you and the most boring class offered at lehigh.

In this seminar class, grades were subjective and Kodama clearly picked his favorites. Class was pointless and discussion fruitless and every day he would ask "what do you want me to do?" and the students would stare in awkward silence.

Don't take this class if you're just looking to fulfill your distr reqs or you will be kicking yourself. WAY too much info.. it's actually pretty ridiculous. Purposely structured to kick non-science majors in the ass. This class tanked my GPA and I'm really bitter about it. Kodama is a nice man but out of touch with students' needs. Lab was HORRID.

This class is mostly taken to fulfill a requirement and he just expected too much from people who haven't taken a science class in years. Plus he reuses his old tests so anyone who can get ahold of them can just copy and not work hard. Needs to restructure the class for those who dont care about science

I'm only taking this class to complete my lab sci requirement. The tests are on too much material! It's absolutely insane. He's nice, but the class is too much work for what I'm using it for. The labs aren't bad, but lectures put me to sleep and the tests are brutal. Yuck.

the labs are kinda fun, because they dont involve kodoma. the man is crazy. he flips out if anyone talks and removes himself from the room. cuckoo. SO MUCH DAMN info its hard to study and do well if you cant memorize. stuff is interesting but he can't explain it well. but i learned how clouds form.

this is supposed to be an easy course yet he crams a ton of information into each lecture and the exams are insane! you definitely cant get a passing grade without studying. no homework except for keeping up on the reading and an occasional lab write up.
