math120R is not an hard class for me, she is indeed a great teacher, but she over explaining in lots of easy content . This course could be better if she could have more explanation in harder parts and less explanations on easier parts. I found it's hard for me to understand the grading criteria.

Kerima is a great professor and knows what she's doing. She has an accent but she's easy to understand and she's a little eccentric which makes her lectures a bit more fun. She tends to over-explain simple stuff which can be nice when confused but slow. There's online homework due almost everyday. Go to class and pay attention & you'll be alright.

Math120R is a very hard class and this is my second time taking it but first time with Kerima Ratnayaka. Honestly she is hilarious, she is hard to understand sometimes but she is awesome. If I would've taken her first semester, I would have totally passed the class the first time. DO NOT TAKE JOHN AWALT for Math120. 8/10 would take again.

Oh my god if you have the opportunity to take this class in-person PLEASE DO IT! Luckily I already had stats knowledge from high school so I was mostly able to skate by. I can only imagine how terrible this class would be for someone with no stats experience. When you DO show up for class in-person, you may get a bad TA and then it sucks from there

Her accent makes it very difficult to understand. One of my least favorite teachers I have had here at the University. She over-explains things a lot. You can solve a problem correctly & get the right answer, But if it is not solved her way it is incorrect. Teacher is difficult to meet outside of class. If you can switch instructors DO SO!!!!!!!!!!

This was a 5 week course so it went very quickly, and was very time consuming. There are 4 Excel assignments and all the other homework, quizzes, and exams are on WebAssign. Only real complaint is that the audio is very bad on the example videos that she posts. Kerima is definitely one of the best math professors I've had at the U of A.

Kerima is probably one of the best calc professors there are. While there are web assign questions on exams, don't solely rely on that. What helped me succeed was doing all of the written hw, web assign, and going to almost all of her office hours to go over hw questions I didn't understand. Do all of the review questions before exams!

She will teach the basic concepts in class and some homework problems that are difficult but never really taught was on the test leaving the class having a low average. She is very willing to help you learn but sometimes goes too fast over concepts that are on the test and too slow on very basic concepts. She does try to review before every test.

Karima was one of the best and most interesting math teachers I had here at the UofA. She knows how to teach calculus very well, and she will help you understand a problem. If you have the chance to be in her class, do it, you're going to thank me later.

OH NOO!!! K is literally the most hilarious person I have ever encountered. She is EXTREMELY helpful and approachable. If you are confused about a topic or even some simple algebra, ASK! She will go back through the problem specifically for YOU to make sure that you understand what she did and how to do the problem yourself. TAKE HER CALC CLASS!!

Lectures are pretty much just her doing example problems. If you have a question she is more than willing to walk you through the problem until you get it. While I got a C, an A was easily achievable because tests were often webassign problems, problems done in class, or textbook problems she assigned. Has an accent, but it's not that bad anymore.

Kerimar is one of the better teachers for calculus one. In class problems correspond to helping solve difficult web assign and textbook homework. For exams, DEFINITELY review web assign homework. You can get a B or low A from reviewing WA. PLEASE ASK QUESTIONS and don't be shy. You pay thousands to go here so please ask as many questions as u need

Professor Ratnayaka makes a genuine attempt to make math interesting and fun. She prepares students well for the tests. Homework can be redundant and tedious. However, a lot of her test problems come directly from the homework.

Her accent is a little hard to understand sometimes, but she is a wonderful lady and professor-definitely one of the better rated professors for Stats. She lets you know when she will have pop quizzes. Show up to class and do WebAssign homework (which are curved) and you will easily earn an A or B.

Statistics class is very tough in general. But her class is definitely way easier than others I've taken. You only need the textbook for homework and review. She shows all the calculation methods during class so don't ditch. Make sure you understand the material. Her tests are pretty easy. Getting an A is totally possible.

Nice teacher! She has an accent, but it is not difficult to understand. The class material itself is somewhat challenging. Get ready to spend time doing problems and actually understanding the material. There are a lot of hwrk assignments for the class, but if you keep up, it's okay. 4tests including final; homework; attendance points; and drops.
