Comment:
He has a heavy accent so sometimes it is hard to understand what hes saying. He also has horrible hand writing. He gave us 2 tests worth 40% each and they were nearly impossible. He doesnt let any of his students fail though which is good.

He is not a good professor and also explains everything very arbitrary. He is also rude and not very approachable when extra understanding is needed. If you can avoid taking the class do so, he doesn't know what he is teaching.

While he is sometimes hard to understand and definitely a hard grader when it comes to tests, he does take other things into account. He is aware that he is a tough grader. He also takes participation into account when it comes to final grades so I would recommend showing up to class and making sure you participate even though its not mandatory.

He seems to be a nice guy who cares about students learning but what he teaches is nonsense. And the comment about graphics below is absolutely true.

Worst professor I have ever had. The way he teaches forces students to attend all his lectures and his comments are absolutely opposite to any decent finance textbook.

Frankly he needs to learn how to interpret graphics. He says a graphics that is clearly varying over time is constant and for graphics which are smooth he plots as a Dirac's Delta. And in the exam you need to give the answers that match HIS interpretations (not the actual ones). And he talks about robots stealing jobs so we don't need to pay taxes

Comment:
He is literally the worst professor I have ever had. The class is not necessarily difficult, it only seems difficult because he does not explain the concepts well, and he creates the exam questions. Answers to his questions are arbitrary. The class doesn't require textbook, he teaches whatever he wants, so there is no second source to learn from.

Rydqvist is probably the smartest professor I have ever had here at Bing. He also does amazing research apparently. However, he does not teach out of a textbook nor does he explain what he is doing. For example he will just randomly do practice problems without an explanation and nobody will understand what he is doing. Tests are really difficult.

Quite possible the worst finance professor at Binghamton University. Teaches the class like a graduate level math or econ class. Nothing is relevant or even looks like a lecture from a normal corporate finance class. Also participation is 20% of your grade. when there is no attendance or attempt to know your name.
