Comment:
Dr. Slaughter has provided a smooth start to PGY 300 with the neurophysiology unit. The concepts are quite difficult, but he makes sure that you get the best out of the material he is teaching. Unlike many professors, he provided us several practice exams from previous years. This helped with the information that he expected us to learn.

Dr Slaughter teaches a very hard course to the best of his extent. Sometimes the topics are very widespread and all over the place but he does try to make sure that students get the most out of the lecture. He is always up for office hours if you need extra help outside of class and is very nice about all the questions you have.

I loved Dr. slaughter. He taught the neurophysiology section of the PGY300 class. He made it very clear to understand if you watch the lectures and write down all of the details. He gives old exams for reference and it really helps. I watched the lectures twice and made a quicker on them the second time. He wants his students to do well!!

Dr. Slaughter teaches a Difficult topic in physiology, so obviously you'll have to study. But he will take time to answer in detail any questions you have about any lecture. He also had funny dry jokes and was a nice guy.

Don't know why everyone thought he was so great. He wasn't clear in what he expected us to know like the other professors, just kept talking and talking and in my opinion, lecture was dry but you have to know EVERYTHING from lecture to get a good grade. Studied the entire weekend before his test and got a 91.

Dr. Slaughter was extremely clear and only puts stuff he covers in class on his exams. He also gives you tons of practice questions to study from he gave 5 past exams and if you used that along with the lecture videos to study its an easy A. Overall great and fair professor.

Great professor. Taught the Neurophysiology section which was very hard. He makes it a lot easier though with how he explains things and you're only responsible for what he talks about in class which was nice. The exam was fair but the questions can be very difficult. REALLY need to know your stuff. Pay attention and study you'll do fine

Currently in the second section of PGY300, dealing with the cardiovascular sytem. Dr. Slaughter is an excellent professor. He paces the class well, never speaks too much about a topic, and emphasizes important material. His test was extremely fair. He is much better than many professors I have had here at UB.

As the first lecturer slaughter covers one of the hardest sections and does a great job. His test was very fair and his questions on the cumulative final were repeats from his test.

Great teacher, explains things well, also very nice. Neuro physio isn't cake though so there will be studying involved. Test is very straightforward and he did recycle some questions from old exams so make sure you look at those!

Slaughter teaches the neuro portion of physiology. He is a great teacher, but it is a difficult subject, which means you will have to do some studying at some point! Teaches from a power point and gives you the slides online ahead of time. Test was straightforward and not difficult if you put some time into this class.

Great professor, explains lectures notes in an organized, cleared and simplest possible way, he also does wonderful job on giving you analogies to help you understand the concept. Fully understanding his lecture notes is enough to get a good grade in his section of the PGY300, no need to read textbook if you fully undertood his lecture notes.

uses the book publisher's slides as his notes, but explains them well. Does a review session and practically tells you the exam in it.
