Comment:

Super hard class but she is super helpful IF you meet her outside of class. I wish I would have done more to get help from her because I definitely would have done a lot better. But go to class and take good notes and LISTEN and you will do fine.

Comment:

I took this class online and it was pretty easy to figure out. Interesting, but lots of homework, readings, and 4 4-5 paged papers due throughout semester. The 4 papers you have to write are not traditional essays, more like emails so they are easy to write in about 1-2 hours and she grades REALLY easy. I got 50/50 on all 4. Do your hw on time.

There was WAY too much homework. Every discussion board she made it into a group project, so if someone wasn't reading or doing what they were supposed to it set you up for failure. Four 4 page papers on top of so many readings. Easy grader but a lot of work. This should not have been this difficult, but I did enjoy learning about other religions.

There is lots of small homework and about 4 5 page essays. Pretty easy class if you show up and do your homework. Homework is basically completion points and can easily tank your grade if you don't do it. For the essays, I half-ased them the night before and got an A- . She gives you all the information needed in class for the essays.

Comment:

I had her for online religions class. While I never met her in real life, she was someone who seemed nice and willing to help with any issues. She is also very passionate about the subject and offers students extra readings if they want to delve into the content more. Class was made up of evenly spaced out assignments and essays. Not a hard class.

Dr. Reineke really does care about her students which is nice. There were no real tests; instead; she assigns essays. These aren't too difficult as everything you need to know is gone over in class. This also means you shouldn't miss class often. The e-book she uses is really childish; however; the quizzes in class are all in the book.

DO NOT GIVE UP ON THIS CLASS! Reineke can be vague and confusing at times but once I got used to her teaching style and went to her for help (multiple times) I learned how much she actually cares about her students' success. I found the topics very interesting and once I improved my essays, this became my favorite class! (warning: lots of small hw)

I had her for religions of the world writing enhanced. The class itself is okay and the readings aren't bad, but her lectures are confusing. There aren't tests, only short quizzes (which are easy) but there are quite a few essays. If you don't really understand the topic, good luck with the essays. She's there to help though.

Wouldn't recommend. Her lectures make little to no sense and don't teach really anything important. Then she expects you to write an essay with a weak prompt and really vague requirements. She assigns readings online that usually have nothing to do with the essay of that unit. Also you can't check your grades. Teaches with unhelpful metaphors.

Dr. Reineke really pushes students to succeed. Expect to write many papers and constantly use the textbook for homework. For a LAC requirement class this is a tough one, but you really do learn so much about writing a good paper and religion. She is very helpful and offers writing conferences for each paper. Overall is an awesome professor!

Reineke is really nice and the lectures weren't bad. There is a lot of information you need to know during class so go and don't skip. You do an essay paper about every three weeks along with a short quiz. I did learn a lot but it was also kind of challenging. But definitely a good professor!

Prof Reineke is a good professor, but she treats her students like they're children. Her lectures are long and boring. Each section has reading requirements and a paper. There are several assignments and a quiz for each section of the class.

She makes the course material interesting and easy to understand. Class time doesn't drag on like other classes do. But, you definitely don't want to get in the habit of missing class! A lot of information is given during class that you need to write the essay at the end of each unit.

Professor Reineke is a great professor. She teaches well and helps you understand the material. She provides videos in class and easy homework assignments, she does games like jeopardy to help us learn the material. The tests are in the form of a paper, you take it home and use your notes. It's an easy A for sure. Take this class!

Dr. Reineke is by far the best teacher I've had at UNI. Her tests are in the form of papers and she gives you all the information you need to write the paper and do well on it. She truly cares about how well you do in her class. I would highly recommend taking this class.

Great class, very interesting and she provides you with everything you need to know. Shows videos about different rituals to help you understand material. You write papers as your "test" over the different chapters, but she provides all the criteria and I just used my notes and my textbook. However you do get short homework assignments. Easy A!

Dr. Reineke is extremely nice and helpful. She knows what she's talking about and provides you with literally EVERYTHING you need to do well in the class. She offers help on each writing assignment and if you take advantage of that her class is an easy A!

She is very knowledgeable about religion. She makes it understandable, but lectures get a little repetitive at times. She gives writing conferences for the papers and tells you what you should do to get an A. Very helpful and nice.
