She is really nice and willing to answer any questions you have, she will go through the tutorial step by step. You can get an A easily as long as you attend all her classes, just be aware participation counts the most.

Most students in the class know how to use the software, yet she gives us tutorials on the most basic things, she also has gone over a tutorial 5-6 times and that is all we have done for 2 weeks straight. She cares about your situations, and helps on some level, she could careless about if your partner for your group projects is not helping you.

I think she's a great person, but I was completely blindsided by her grading. I thought I was doing fine, but instead I didn't have the A's I thought I definitely worked hard for. I even paid for software. Beware: she does not upload her grades! She's great but I'm a little iffy about her grading method..I'd take take again only if its mandatory..

Love Mary Lou, she is the most understanding COMM professor. She's fun and helpful and will do anything to see you succeed. She won't let anyone fail. If you don't do well in her classes, it's your fault. She's a bit of a scatter brain sometimes but her awesome-ness makes up for it!

She will truly give you the shirt off her back if you need it. I've dealt with many wonderful teachers/instructors before but Mary Lou without question takes the cake. She and Doug are ones I plan to remain friendly with WELL after I graduate.

her grading on tests and quizzes isnt always clear, but the class is easy over-all. the reading is light, if you do it, you'll be fine. don't take it if you plan on missing alot of class, she deducts ALOT after 4 absences.
