Comment:

Incredibly clear teacher that has been around for decades. He starts every class with a review of what was covered the previous class and provides a clear outline in classes. What others have taken as arrogance is to me just a very dry sense of humor.

Prof Davis's teaching style makes it very hard to follow along and know what to expect on the final. I felt like we didn't learn anything in the class. All we did was talk about cases.

Comment:

Property I: He knows his stuff and he's not bashful by any means. He likes to poke fun at students, and on occassion poked fun at me. But it was all in good humor. The class was well organized and the lectures were on key. He is direct at times and so I recommend always coming to class prepared. Otherwise be prepared for embarassment.

I'm not quite sure why Davis has gotten so many negative reviews on here - while I didn't have much personal contact with him, I never had any problems with him. His lectures were clear and straightforward and the grades in Lawyering as a whole seemed fair.

Comment:

Davis taught Property in a way that was easy to understand. He was also very accomodating during Open Memo time and did not put a lot of pressure on us in his class because he knew we were stressed out about our other classes. He is a fine instructor.
