Loovis literally wrote the book on adaptive physical activity, however hes not a very good prof. NOT a friendly guy, doesnt care about students...

Probably the most difficult person I'v had to deal with over my college career. Gives out a good syllabus, but lacking on clarity and feedback. Didn't return assignments for feedback and correction. Subjective on grading, didn't follow rubric when grading paper. Unclear, likes to hold class an hour after dismissal. Miss a lab, miss a letter grade.

To be an online class this man did not made it any easier specially for those that hold a day job. Gave midterm on a Friday Night 9-10pm no exceptions. Assings group projects which required to meet in person to get a good grade. Assigned long papers and grades as an enlgish teacher. Disrespecfully as well when answering emails(uses !!!!)

Docked me points on an assignment because I failed to use HIS studies in it as my research citations (never specified on rubric). IGNORES emails inquiring about the final exam date. This is online yet he gave us a midterm on a Friday night 9:00 PM - 10:30 PM? Not worth the ridiculous amount of work that is SUBJECTIVELY GRADED.

Do not let the reviews make you wary of taking class with Dr. Loovis. Rubrics are lacking, true story, but assignments are returned in a timely manner. Use remarks to make your next assignment better. Dr. Loovis provided much guidance when asked for it. Show interest and ask for help; you will get both in return.

Dr. Loovis is a tough instructor to those who don't take the material seriously. He is a very educated teacher who cares about the subject matter. He has written many books on the topic of disabilities and sport. He is a great resource for CSU. I enjoyed his class.

He was a very tough instructor who seemed like he was out to make your life miserable and fail as many students as possible. Not a good experience.

Loovis was never prepared for class. Each class started 15-20 minutes late. He was not familiar with the exam. He could not answer questions or provide specific guidelines for assignments. The class was a waste of time.

Embarrassingly unorganized. He seems more intent on telling tales about how "tough" he is than in actually teaching (he LOVES to talk about all of the students he?s failed). The syllabus is worthless. There are no rubrics. He could not answer questions about exams or grading. If only he held himself to the same standards he holds his students to.

This guy is arrogant! His tests are on the text book...that he doesn't cover, he thinks he is the grammatical God, and he tries to intimidate students. Almost 50% drop, if not fail his courses. BE CAREFUL!

Had him for human develpment, WOW what a very knowledgeable Professor. The guy really knows what he is talking about. Very resourceful and intelligent. Has high expectations for students and is very consistant. Really enjoyed him, a real asset to CSU PE Department.
