Comment:

Very nice professor! A lot of homework but it helps you out. Doesn't give a lot of notice to prepare for oral exam at the end of the year. You have to learn most of it out of class. He doesn't write notes on the board or really go over it at all. However, he knows his stuff. I just left like the 101 was a bit difficult and unorganized.

Comment:

Very enthusiastic teacher. If you learn better by taking notes and having explanations and examples written on the board, you will want to take a different teacher. His philosophy is "language is learned through the ears, not the eyes." Enjoyed him as a person, but not my learning style.

He is a pain. I took him in the Fall and hated the class.He is hard of hearing and if you don't pronounce something properly he thinks you didnt say it at all. He would make notes and then could not read what he wrote..I was bored and didnt learn ANYTHING from him..I had a classmate help me through the class.

Dr. Waag is a really good teach, he just has hearing problems so sometimes it is frustrating. the 101 class is really easy, so if that is all you need take Waag. Definitely bring your textbook to class and study outside if you don't have a natural gift for spanish.

Don't take Waag if you're only doing Spanish for gen ed and don't care much for it. He assigns homework just about every class period but it's not too much to handle. He's pretty unforgiving about the smallest errors. If you're looking for a good challenge though, by all means take his class.

He is an absolutely wonderful teacher. I have made A's on all of his exams. As long as you pay attention and do the busy work, you're essentially guaranteed an A. Can be a bit hard to understand at first but he will explain as he goes. Also, he LOVES to promote KIIS and to make you sing songs in Spanish. :D Great guy.

I dont think I gave him the review he deserved, so therefore I will clarify that he is the best of the best in spanish in Murray. Take him for I wish I can again spring 2011. He is an excellent guy

He is a good teacher. I learned more spanish in his class than in any other spa class i have taken in the past. he does give a lot of homework but its not too hard. the only reason he picks on those who he thinks don't know much is b/c he wants them to learn. I would recommend him, i'm taking him for 102 next semester.

He is a very nice old man, kinda silly. He is very big on class participation, and gives quite a bit of homework, though it is very easy. The class is easy, but be ready for busy work, and don't expect to able to skip class. But. pverall, I would recommend the class.

I have had Dr. Waag for 3 semesters and plan on taking him again. He will help you when he can which is why he calls on people he doesn't feel like understand. His class requires a lot of work, but an a or b is very easy to accomplish.

Waag likes to pick on students whenever he knows they are unsure of themselves. He picks out these students and calls on them over and over again to embarass them. He is very unforgiving about small errors. I would suggest taking anyone else for spanish.

Horrible teacher, he's not clear at all and hardly teaches, you only take tests. He's not helpful and doesn't answer quesstions. He only likes you if you've been in his previous spanish classes, and expects the people who havent to know all his little quirks and ways he teaches. He's horrilbe take anyone else you can.

Dr. Waag seems to be a nice man, but his lack of dedication and unhelpfulness cannot be ignored. I cannot rate him well when he misses a week before a major exam and send a substitute to prepare us. In addition, he needs to expand his teaching methods. Calling on people randomly does not help everyone, and especially if for some people who he rarel

This professor does not take the time to help his students. He merely picks on them and openly makes fun of the fact that they are struggling in his class. It is a shame too because Spanish is such a beautiful language. Having Dr Waag runied the experience for me.

Dr. Wagg is a good professor,VERY dedicated to teaching. I advise for one to study ahead if possible. His class is HIGHLY demanding VERY strict and LOTS of work. Quizzes daily, maybe one exam and then the final. LOTS of busy body work. STUDY HARD, but over all very nice and good teacher! I reccomend
