Comment:

Professor Hatch is one of the BEST English teachers I have ever taken. If you are lazy or just trying to skate by don't take this class and maybe reconsider college. She requires reading but its all related to her lectures. There are several papers; however, they help develop you into a better writer. College is about challenging yourself!

Comment:

I felt like I was constantly in a battle with Ms. Hatch. She was smothering when it came to the homework and seemed completely unaware that some people may have other things in their lives like jobs and families than just being able to take her class 24/7. She accused me of reusing papers multiple times because I cited a book in my paper!

Ok so I took mrs. Hatch class this past semester. Her work isnt hard you just have to apply the knowledge. Doing all the blogs do matter. Complete papers give you more time to revise it before the portfolio. She really strives to help students. She gives great feedback and in my opinion from taking her 96&101 she is a great teacher.

This is a class that is straight to the point no chaser. The teacher Mrs. Hatch may come off personable to some and not to others. She gives you a syllabus with every single detail of what is expected of a student. You will need to be prepared to write four papers , go on the discussion board after class and make sure post .You will need a book

At first she seems like a nice lady, couple weeks into the course she will make you want to drop out off school. She is the rudest person Ive ever met. When you have to use the restroom she will try to embarrass you in front of the class. She shouldve been a high school teacher not a college professor. Do NOT take any of her classes.

This women was the rudest, most disrespectful person I have ever had to deal with. The superiority complex was hard to bear and she would call you a liar if she didn't agree with you. Most infuriating prof I have ever had to deal with. DO NOT take her class. You could write a perfect paper and she'd give you a C out of spite.

she was not a bad teacher, but it was easy to not understand what she was talking about. there is homework everyday you come into class. and she seems to rush things sometimes. we will be working on a paper and she introduces the next paper and tells us to start soon. she does offer extra credit tho

I thought she was a great teacher. I had her for online and she was so respectful and kind when I had questions, unlike some teachers. She was sweet and passionate about English. I love writing papers so I did enjoy this class. If you do not like writing, this probably isn't the best English 102 class to take. But I loved it! Got a 4.0 in the class

I had Mrs. Hatch for my English 101 course and I found her to be a very nice woman who gave great feedback on writing. She really cares about educating her students and gives them a great opportunity to succeed. Her class is a lot of work; you will probably write five papers over the semester as well as completing a new blog for every class period.

I personally found Ms. Hatch to be sexist against women. She favored the men in our class over the women and often gave girls worse grades even if they were better. She also grades papers in terms of her opinions. The point of the class was to argue your point and show others a different view, but she only likes her own.

Monica Hatch is one of the worst teachers I've had. any paper you turn in, she grades according to how she would write the paper. as far as writing styles go, it's either her way or the highway. in my high school, I was always told that each person has their own voice and own way of writing because we are all individual. I guess I was wrong..

DO NOT TAKE A COURSE WITH HER. she is a horrible teacher and not a much better person. she loves talking and bragging about herself. any paper you write, she will grade it comparing it to how she would write. if it is not exactly how she would write, it's wrong. she is the most biased teacher I've ever had. 0/10 rating for her.

I really thought she was a great teacher, and had her twice. I was able to get lots of very constructive and clear help from her during her office hours where she would review my drafts and give me lots of advice to help me pass. I really found her easy to ask for lots of help, and she really cared. It wasn't the easiest, but she helped me succeed.

As someone who took honors english, drama classes, and acted in school theatre, I thought I would never have problems with an english class. I was mistaken. Ms. Hatch's curriculum was confusing, and she showed a lot of prejudice in her classroom. It felt like she was trying to break my spirit more than teach me anything. 0/10 horrible nasty woman

This was one of the most confusing courses i have ever taken. The professor was very difficult to understand. She wants papers her way or they simply arent right even though she doesnt explain why. She told me three before the class was set to end that the best i could possibly do is a C becuase she grades on a scale and im a C type student! WTH!!

At first I was intimidated by all of the work and a little put off. This was my first experience for an online class and gave me a new level of responsibility. Mrs. Hatch is very nice and helped me very much when concerning the assignments. However, the class was challenging in my opinion but nevertheless it was interesting and very helpful.

As I attended her class it seemed well off at first but then she was demanding on how we the students should write our papers & she wanted her way and she wouldn't like what we would have to say.She is controlling when it comes to essays. I wouldn't recommend her to anyone. she is doesn't understand Blackboard. She needs to be trained for teaching.

Pretty decent teacher overall. She was really nice and never snapped at anybody. She gives you a calendar with everything the class will be doing that semester, which helps keep you organized. The class isn't very hard, but there is a LOT of writing, but that's expected. I've never had a problem with her, and I would recommend.

I worked my butt off in this class, and she told me I was not sending in my essays in the right format. She told me she was going to fail me if I did not drop, refused to communicate with me.
