This class is easy. There's barely anything you have to do throughout the course. She is very flexible if something happens and you aren't able to complete something so that is very admirable. I would recommend her to someone that would like to focus more of other classes because this class does not require a large amount of time whatsoever.

Comment:

Nancy is one of the most caring and honest professors at NDSU College of HSE. She wants you to do well in and outside of class. She is easy to get in contact with and responds very quickly. I would recommend Nancy over and over again. Wonderful.

Comment:

Nancy is the greatest thing that happened to the human development and education department at NDSU. She cares SO deeply for each individual student. She is incredibly accommodating and just wants to see you succeed at what you do. I wish I could have taken more classes from her because she is such a gem!

Comment:

Being a freshman in my first semester of college I've had the privilege of having Nancy Kaler as a professor for 2 of my classes! I took HDFS 189 and HDFS 186 with her and got A's in both classes. Take the extra credit when she offers it. She is very personable and easy to approach with questions or concerns. Will be my favorite professor forever!!

I love all the extra credit opportunities. Every week there's an extra credit opportunity, and they're easy. Also, every test has a 5-point bonus question at the end, and I got it on all the tests. If you don't study, you won't do well on her tests, but that's expected anyways. She uses definitions from the book, so I liked using my book for that.

Nancy is one of the best professors I've ever had. Very understanding if things come up or if you have any questions. Did not use the textbook, it was all notes from lecture. Only a few other easy assignments besides tests. Tons of extra credit.

Nancy Kaler is one of the best professors I have had at NDSU. She is a great teacher, sharing real life experiences that relate to class material. She is very mindful of student's busy schedules! I was also a TA in one of her classes. She is so fun and easy to work with. I would recommend Nancy as a teacher!!

She cares. She really does. She has a great voice for large lectures. She's easy to understand. Her directions and due dates are very clear. I purposefully looked to see if she taught more of my requirements (she does), and I am taking every class I can taught by her.

The work in the class is a pain in the butt to do but is VERY helpful to know how to do (writing resume etc.) She is very helpful, there are no exams, only graded on assignments! She also has some great stories!!
