Abundance of guidance to each student- went way above and beyond to mentor and challenge students to a higher level of thinking. Challenging course, in-depth abstract thinking is required- you better be ready to put work into this course; if you will learn a lot!

I found Dr. Cooke to be highly professional, knowledgeable and insightful. Someone with a fragile ego may take offense when given direct insights about how to improve. I am in school to learn, and I did. She provides an abundance of supplemental material, increasing my opportunities for academic and professional growth.

I'm not sure why the previous comment described Dr. Cooke as prejudiced against black learners - it is an online school (the professor doesn't see the students). I did not notice Dr. Cooke being unfair to anyone in her posting responses. She is a tough professor and is very straight-forward in her evaluations. Does not mince any words.

Has different way of scheduling the course room deadlines than any other prof I have had at Capella - ended up needing to be online on weekends pretty heavily or missed out. Probably not a good prof for a beginner - good for more advanced and knowledgeable. Would be worried if had this prof for first class at Capella.

I did not find this instructor very appealing to my learning style. She does not appear very involved or supportive within the classroom environment. You will need to be a self starter, self director, and self learner. Did not find interest in learning from this instructor. I hope I do not have to take her again.

I believe Phyliss is one of the most unethical professor I ever come accross at Capella. I turn in my assignment to her and she told me that she did not receive it. I recheck the assignment folder and the assignmnent was there. As a result, I got a B. When she did admit the presence of the assignment, she said it is too late to change my grade.

Dr. Cooke gave the 'new' version of Leadership of psychology a couple of interesting twists. I think she made it one of the most rewarding classes if you put the effort into it as far as personal growth. If you didn't work sincerely and honestly, you won't get much out of it. Would take another course from her in a second.

This instructor gives the impression that she is easy going, but in fact is the opposite. Her comments are abrasive and gives only negative feedback. She does not add to the learning environment and grades harshly. Also, she will respond to emails and questions in the courseroom, but not immediately. Tuition is too high to enroll with her.
