Comment:

I had him for Literature & Film. It's the easiest course. You spend all class watching movies and there are occasional lectures. He is an easy grader on the journal entries & also easy on the essays. I'd reccomend him to anyone that will go to class and write a few short papers. Least time-consuming course of my college career. I'd recommend him.

Comment:

A nice, chill guy who's an easy grader. Goes off topic sometimes, but it's fun and a relaxed environment. He takes FOREVER to grade- but he had health issues. Lightens your workload, and cancels class pretty frequently which I'm ok with. Will take him again for Eng 122.

Alright, first thing first, if your gunna take this professor, check your school email EVERYDAY! He cancels more classes than shows up. Easy work load class. He takes forever to grade anything at all so theres that. He was entertaining from time to time, would I take this guy again? Probably, on a count he barely showed up.

Comment:

He is very focused on helping students reflect on their writing to help students understand how to go deeper and how they can improve. Sometimes he has some very irrelevant classes but you will be a lot more self aware about what kind of writer you are once you take him. I think he helped take my writing to the next level.

Comment:

He canceled class a lot and did not assign a lot of work. He has workshops where you just sit around with a few classmates and read your papers. Basically only needed to show up for in class essays and when assignments were due or assigned which wasn't often. He does not tell you your grade until you find out at the end of the semester.

He's a great professor to take when you are loaded down with coursework for other classes. We only wrote about 3 papers and he cancels class a lot. He does not require a textbook. He does not keep up with grades though and he does not always inform the class that it was canceled. Other than that he's super easy and doesn't assign a lot of work.

He gives a lot of time to finish work or papers. He doesn't grade stuff right away so, you really don't know how you're doing in class until you're done with the class. If he's not coming to class, he won't take the responsibility to tell students before hand or email them. So be ready to show up to class and find out there is no class.

Comment:

Prof Strugala gives you plenty of time to complete papers and gives great feedback. He enjoys when you ask questions about an assignment and will explain until you understand, he really enjoys what he does. He's not much about using Canvas or posting things online, really the only negative.

Prof. Strugala talks too much during class. Spends too much time socializing with the class and not enough time addressing assignments. Assignments arent clear. You wont know your grade until midterm report cards and after finals

He is so hard. You have to do 20 min oral presentation and even you do good, he gonna cut points for small things. His way of teaching is average. Not recommended for students who are not excellent in English writing courses.

Why is this professors rating so high? Very sarcastic and rude and not accessible outside of class. Lectures drag out and he talks for days about everything but the work. Very picky with essays and will grade harshly but barley gives time to write papers, he lets you know a day in advance. Conferences are long, he keeps you after class for hours.

WASTES A LOT OF TIME! Very behind in work & assigns papers with little time to do them. Make's cringe worthy jokes & is overly sarcastic which is insulting at times; never expect a straight answer from him. He misses class very frequently but leaves a note on the door saying he "can't make it." Ironically, attendance is mandatory. Harsh grader!

I took Lit & film with him. It was a very simple course. The only real work was the final paper because the journal entries were easy. Hes a great professor. Id recommend him to everyone

Loved Dr. Strugala's class! He definitely challenged the way I my write my essays and research paper. He makes class interesting and enjoyable. He also has a sense of humor which is great to have has a professor. Also allows a lot of time to complete papers. Take him, you won't regret it!

very good professor, would take again. he has a quite different way of grading the paper which he divides the class into groups every group will come on a separate day and work with him in person. it is very nice and a new way that gives you a lot of time and chances to improve yourself. and he is willing to help too.

This professor is probably one of the best professor's for English, he gives great advice on how you can improve your paper, as long as you follow the guidelines. Please do yourself the favor and take him. I have had him for Eng 122 and Eng 254, and I really enjoy his lectures are key to what goes on in class

His attitude is not the best. He's kind of sarcastic and makes jokes that aren't necessarily that funny. He literally assigns a new essay every week but it's college, what do you expect? He talks A LOT and sometimes keeps you past the end of class time (ex: the class will end at 3:20 and he'll still be lecturing five minutes later). He's also a tough grader on the essays so make sure to proofread and put as much effort as possible into them.

Comment:

I took him for a individualized course. Basically, this meant I only had to show up for when he had to grade an essay. There were no lectures involved. He sits down with you one on one and reviews your essay. He clearly explains your mistakes and you even take notes so you know what not to do for next time. Would definitely take again.
