He is a great instructor. He hammered into my head the importance of grammar and I am significantly a better writer. He says you can't write a good paper in a weekend, but I did for all four papers! So ha! I would not recommend doing that though... Overall, he really does care that you understand the material.

had him for 105 and 261. he got the trifecta: brilliant, dry humor, compassionate. doesn't include many female authors, nor many authors of color in the curriculum but is very well read and will discuss them with you in class. excellent advisor when its time to schedule your next semester. he's a five star educator.

He is willing to work with you and do everything in his power to ensure you are getting the most out of his class. I enjoyed his assingments, reading and writing, all were interesting and intellectually challenging. I feel I left his class as a better writer, I did not feel sold short on any class I attended. I also dig his dry sense of humor.

Great Prof. He is has a good sense of humor. Helped me clean up may grammar. He is very stringent with his grammar. He is very helpful and isn't condescending. He will be a prof that I won't forget!

This was a challenging class that took a lot of time but was not difficult to pass, as long as I did the reading, gave myself enough time to get the writing done, and proofread my assignments. I would definitely recommend it.

Professor Butsch is a great teacher. He may seem hard, but just be at every class, do all assignments, and go to all the conferences that he offers. I am glad that I took Eng105 with him, his class prepares your for further education.

This is a combined english course(101&105). Dr. Butsch is a great teacher with a very good sense of humor. He is also a great writer and editor, and his teaching style, while not easy, is very liberal. ALOT of writing in this class,folks, but worth it.
