Scott is great! I had him for Grammar and Usage and it was the best! It's hard, I'm not going to lie, but it's worth it and you learn so much! He lets you do retakes on the exams, which really help your grade A LOT!

Comment:

Scott is very helpful when it comes to assisting you on any assignments. Lectures are not very relevant to the papers that you need to write (4 over the course of the semester)but attendance is part of your grade. He is a great professor who wants you to succeed in his class and is willing to do whatever to help.

This class was very easy. He is very lenient when it comes to the work, and you don't really have to do anything besides write the papers to do well. The classes are VERY BORING, I recommend bringing your laptop to keep you occupied at times, he doesn't mind. Very helpful teacher. 3 essays and a final portfolio. Not bad for a required class.

Hadley is a really laid back guy. Class is four essays plus attendance/participation. Lectures are kind of boring, you sit there and listen and throw in your 2 cents if you choose. Grades you via mp3, not the easiest grader. Doesn't focus on content as much as he does the "argument" of your paper.

Scott is a really nice guy and will help you with anything you need. His class is really easy but he is UNBELIEVABLY boring. I have such a hard time making myself go to class because of his boring-ness. He grades you via MP3 and you have to listen to 15 minutes of him grading you on itunes. Easy, but boring

He is the nicest teacher at IC! He really cares about his students, and wants to make a difference. The first year seminar class has been easy, fun, and engaging. Not too often that you can say that about a class. He is very competent and helpful. If you want to learn in a positive environment...take a class with him.

I love Hadley!!!! He's the man. The text was kinda boring but I learned a lot from the class and I liked the open discussion and really laid-back atmosphere of the class. I recommend for anyone to take a class with him!!

Teacher was very dull and made you want to go to sleep and the class was only 50 min long on Mon/Wed. You can redo essays to receive a better grade. Unhappy w/test grades that I studied a lot for. Grades on a weird scale. Should have got an A, not A-!

Awsome teacher, very open minded, well informed, clear, and helpful. Also knows the school, other classes, and other professors very well, gives good advice and reccomendations and is a fair grader. Highly reccomended.
