He posts his slides online but they are long-winded and non specific. He is a tough grader. When he lectures he is very monotone, however he does try to interject with jokes to liven it up.

He was nice and friendly. Definitely has a voice that puts you to sleep. He posts his lecture slides on blackboard. I think he was a good teacher. I would take him again. Anyone who isn't interested in the subject might have a hard time keeping themselves engaged. If you like a challenge take this class.

This is a guy who definitely does not want to be teaching intro courses. His lectures are dull and monotone, and he has office hours for a whopping 1 hour per week. He refuses to give anyone a perfect grade, and if you look like you will get one, he will mark you down on an essay question just to insure that you don't. AVOID!

Very boring to listen to. Classes are 1 day a week and he just rambles.

Personally I liked he teaching style. He basically puts up a powerpoint and goes over it. Yes it can be a little boring (partly because he is monotone) but everything you need for tests are on the slides. The assignments were pretty easy (though he never gives you a perfect grade), tests were moderately easy. Overall a good class and good teacher

He's a pretty laid back, funny guy. He's approachable, which is nice as an incoming, shy freshman. I definitely recommend taking this class.

Monotone and hard to pay attention to. Definitely goes over everthing for tests, but his style of lecturing doesn't help much with learning the stuff. Also doesn't use the books at all - might as well have saved my money. 101 exercises are too hard for an intro class and really don't teach anything really necessary for the class. I'm still grumbly about not even looking at any rocks for the landforms & soils class... how am I supposed to recognize them without examples???
