Grades are not determined by any rubric, and they seem fairly arbitrary. Easy class with little homework and effort. Lectures are boring and class is useless. You don't learn because it is art class. But also she just bandwagons all her ideas. Class is a mess. Figuring out what is due and when and what she expects is impossible.

I Love Susan!! She is very considerate of your time and adaptive to what your class needs if you let her know. Classes are normally fun and creative. Classroom participation is required, but easy considering the readings are normally online and short. Overall would describe her classes as flexible and insightful.

I've had Susan for 4 courses (AA201, AA401, AA335, AA315) and Susan is awesome. She's super laid-back, doesn't really matter if you get assignments in on time or not. She's a huge lecturer and is really helpful if you have class or life questions.

I loved having Susan, she is such an odd duck. We did not have a text book for the class, but we did have to do short online readings. Most of the articles came with their own questions, so nothing was very surprising. The only test we had was our final, which was a take home. A lot of the class is discussion based, so do the readings.

Susan is wonderful and really caters to her students! She gets to know each and every one very well and pushes students out of their comfort zones which is necessary when it comes to art classes.

I took her class in 98-99. All I remember is reading cliff notes of the plays, playing SOS and Tic Tac Toe in the back of the room. Me and my friend took the class together and would take turns every other day falling asleep on the lectures. DO you need to get some water was said constantly along with I know this is boring. LOL. IT was a good class

She's a nice person and very understanding. She was very forgiving when I had a memory lapse and had to turn in a paper in a little late. And she worked with me when I had to go out of town for a couple of days. Her class is good, but it could've been better. I really liked the creative project, though! Her class is a good choice for an elective.

I didn't know much about theatre before hand, and it kinda hurt a little cuz everyone else did. BIG on participation and takes attendance daily, but not too hard. Try a lil and its an easy B and not too hard to get an A. LONG LECTURES THOUGH...esp when you don't read the plays.

The most caring and helpful teacher I found at BU. She really cares about her students...she has many, many advisees, so she's very busy, but she tries her best to give everyone the time they need. How can you not love this woman??
