Dr. Bird is one of the best science professors at USD. If you want an engaging classroom experience, take him. Lectures are pretty interactive and questions are always welcomed. He also focuses a lot on concepts rather than hard facts, so understanding the material is key.His tests and quizzes can be very challenging, so be prepared to study hard.

Eh...he was all right. Genuinely there for you if you need help. Intelligent man most of the time, but he can be a real idiot/jerk about things. Semi-hard grader. Study diagrams for exams!

really nice and helpful guy. one of those professors who will help you for the rest of your collegiate career. a great ally to have on your side. class is tough but he makes it interesting and enjoyable. one of the best of the department.

Bird is the man, he is a very genuine guy and he will do his best to help. His tests and quizzes are not that hard and he is always there for extra help if you need it. His powerpoints sum up everything that you need and he is a cool guy who offers lots of extra credit. A GOOD CHOICE

He is a genuine guy. Really does care and offered my class extra credit which came in handy. Tests are hard as hell and quizzes are easy. Hard grader, full credit answers are a rarity. If you like or love science this class will be a great start

Dr. Bird is the BEST. He's a genuinley nice man who really cares about his students. quizzes were fairly easy. tests were a little tough. He really want his students to understand the material. CANADA RULES!!

I hate process, but Dr. Bird makes it all good. His lectures can be a bit boring, but he's very clear and helpful about what he wants in class. A very nice and guy and VERY smart- he knows his molecular bio inside out. A little bit of a hard grader.

Dr Bird is a very nice. He sometimes is unclear if you ask him a hard question in class. He teaches everything you need to know in the class and hints to topics that will be on the tests. He is a sports fan and enjoys watching his students play.

I have him for both Bio and Process, and in both he is knowledgeable and very helpful. He begins each day of class by reviewing the previous day's lecture. His quizes are much easier than his tests. Great teacher.
