He is an amazing professor. Very friendly and funny. I would recommend him to anyone taking public speaking. You wouldn't even have to show up, just as long as you show up for your own speech you'll get an A. He is very considerate with people who are shy and not comfortable speaking in front of a class. Wish I could take him again!!

Healy is a nice guy. He uses the same Power Point about a billion times, but the speech subjects are basically left up to our choice. Easy class, no textbook. Really helps to get you used to Public Speaking.

Took his Speaking for Business. Really cool guy. Didn't use the textbook at all. Speeches were really easy, and he was a really easy grades. 4 presentations of about 5 minutes. I thought it was going to suck, but he goes through techniques to make you comfortable.

Love Tom Healy. He's surprisingly knowledgeable and very helpful, even if he does come off as being a little silly at times. Also, he's quite flexible and easy to please--not a tough grader at all. Get him if you can.

The guy is awesome. He is so nice and so helpful. He loves every speech you do and doesn't care what it's about. He will test you out if you try, but I would just stick with him it's and easy AND fun A, and he really has a lot of great advice. Amazing professor.

I took Prof. Healy in 2008 for public speaking. He is the best prof to pick for that requirement. He's a great man, and really help me with my presentations and speeches which made me do great in my harder classes with group presentations. I got an A. A word to the wise some people try to test out, but why it's an easy A and will boost your gpa

Nice Guy. Very understanding that you're gonna be nervous. Out of 5 people who tried the exemption, 4 got it! The one who didn't was a foreign student who had a hard time speaking english and being understood. Otherwise he probably would have passed too. Some just read right off a powerpoint presentation!
