Comment:

He is vague with what he wants and expects you to read his mind. If you answer his questions, he says you didn't answer the way he wanted, but what he wants is in his head and he expects you to be a mind reader. You won't get a 100% in his class. If you do everything he asks and go above and beyond you will be lucky to get an 85%. BAD TEACHER!!

Comment:

Dr. R is a tough grader who is at times very subjective. He is definitely willing to TEACH and is exceptionally good at it. I had a privilege to take multiple classes with him, and if you are there for the knowledge (as opposed to just an easy grade) I highly recommend him. The accent is easy to understand, the lectures are never boring. Do it!

He moves fast (granted it was a summer sem.) and if you fall behind, more than likely have to see him during office hrs. However, he does try to make sure you understand in the short. Need the financial calculator and textbook within the first few day as all in class participation comes from it. Tests were half multiple choice, half open ended.

Overall Inconsistent. He teaches one thing in class and then expects something different for homework. Tests are very difficult; you will feel like you've never seen the material before. Unfortunately, he is the only option for this class.

You'll learn alot in this class but at the expense of time available to work on other classes. The professor is completely delusional when it comes to what obligations students have outside class, and assumes that your only obligation is his class and that you dedicate all your time to it. He also gave us a 3 hour exam on the day of a career expo

This course is difficult, and Dr. R has high expectations for his students. You can't expect to just slide by in this class. He challenges you & forces you to learn the concepts. If you have trouble, GO SEE HIM during office hours. The people who had trouble in my class didn't say anything until the very end, when it was pretty hard for him to help

Pretty hard class with no experience at all. Hes willing to work with you. Over all good teacher though hard to understand sometimes. (Does not like freshman in his classes found that out the hard way)!!

Please stay tuned for a similar rating on this professor. However, check out this professors other bad ratings in his BA332(Corporate Finance) classes he has held in the past. Think worse for 418. Good thing Dr. Young is coming back!!!!!!! Leave the airport classes to the airport professionals!!!!!!!!!

If you want to get your monies worth take him. If you want a blow off class take something else. Excellent teacher who actually cares about the student and the material. High workload but i learned more in his class then any other. Beyond that ,a very nice guy who bends over backwards to help.

I had thesame suggestions,gave to the prof. but were denied. He answers questions and wants to teach well,but has extremely high expectations of our prior knowledge and a HUGE assignment load.I was excited about this class, but do not feel I learned alot.

You should just give more examples on the board and work it through with us because your explanations really do not help. It would be a lot more helpful if you gave us a sheet of problems and we did group work to review.
