Considering he has studied under some really important sociologists, he is a pretty boring professor and bad lecturer. He is unable to lead good discussions and does not allow students to apply theory in anyway to practical applications. He is unhelpful and nnot supportive one-on-one and not worth taking a class with or choosing as an advisor

He made me a soc major. I could listen to him for hours on any subject. The second class I took with him I wasn't even that interested in, but I took it because anything he teaches is worth it. Great lecturing voice. Not always good a presenting both sides of the issues, but excellent at inspiring students. Also a genuinely nice guy.

I love this man! Fantastic class, made me love Wesleyan again. Greatest hour and a half twice a week I could ever spend - its sad but true. He leads the class amazingly and makes you want to never do the work for your other classes and only focus on his for the rest of your life.

Brilliant but lacks passion/the ability to at least pretend he cares about anything. drones on and on and is impossible to pay attention to for more than 10 consecutive minutes. not even adderall XR could make him interesting in any way.
