I had her for Feature Writing - I learned a lot and really enjoyed her class. In fact I suggested her to a relative who was considering a communications class. She's clear and concise & has a good sense of humor. Class participation is a must adn will definitely help the outcome. Do your reading and writing and you'll do well. She's excellent!

I was really shocked to see some negatives on this professor. I had her for Feature Writing - I learned a lot and really enjoyed her class. In fact I suggested her to a relative who was considering a communications class. She's clear and concise & has a good sense of humor. Just do your reading and writing and you'll do well. Okay if you have to take this class like I did for a comm elective know this... you have five grades 3 long speeches a mid term and final... all of which she grades very very harshly. She expects you to be professional when you are learning. The only person who finds her amuseing is herself... dont take her. Trust me

Professor Sadurra was a terrible teacher. I was very excited to take feature writing and journalism but am very dissapointed in how it is going. I wouldnt reccomend taking any of her courses. It's not that the material is difficult, its that she is no help at all. When asking her for help she is rude. 90 percent of the class is her open forum!

Alexis is an excellent instructor. She is demanding of assignments, but fair. She knows her subject very well, and acts like the editor that we will all face eventually. I particularly enjoyed her sunny disposition and her humor.

Mrs. Sarruda is the worst teacher I have EVER had. I think her lack of clarity makes her teaching especially bad. Her quiz questions are pulled from anywhere in the book, and not necassarily from your assigned reading. She is boring, she never lectures or even teaches anything. She will bring in a newspaper so we can pass it around for 30min.

She is an interesting teacher; she will be “nice” in class but then rip your work apart when she is grading it offering very unconstructive criticism. She rarely gives specific requirements for assignments but grades like she did.

I think she's a good teacher. A lot of people don't like her because she makes you EARN your good grade. If you give your all to the assignments, you'll do well. If you're looking for an easy class, I don't recommend her for a teacher. She's fair with her grading.

Prof. Surruda is the worst teacher I have ever had. She never taught anything that was relevent to the book and tested us on completely crazy things. She is very very biased and will let you know this through her grading. All she ever talked about was Howard Stern, and politcs, not journalism!
