Great Class! Professor Carreiro is a great teacher. Good class to have if you need an elective and want a class that isn't burdensome. Do study for the tests for IDs. Even if you're not that familiar with Afro American history, but study for tests, you could get a B in the class.

Carreiro has any awesome east coast accent. She is a fair grader with an overall aim to make students learn. Gives handy study guides. Gets pissed off when people talk and do stupid things in class and gives the evil eye when walking in late. I loved her class.

Nice woman, but can be boring at times, since she assumes this is your favorite subject ever and goes on and on. Assigns a LOT of reading; unless all you do is sit in your room and read, you'll never get it all done. Grades fairly easily, and let us watch movies sometimes, which was a nice break from her lectures.

She is amazing! She is a talented teacher who knows her African American History, and makes it possible for her students to learn and appreciate it. She is helpful. She grades fairly easy and her tests are easy. ID's are very specific though. Take her class!

Dr. Carreiro was one of my favorite teachers this semester. She is hard, but you get a sense of accomplishment after her class. She assigns quite a few papers, but grades them pretty easily, tests are ids and essays. She was VERY helpful to me, and would email me throughout the semester, and helped with questions I had. TAKE HER!!

Carreiro is a good teacher. However, you sure as heck better not show up late because she flips out. Actually, even if you are right on time she still flips out. I walk in often right at the start of class and she gives me an exasperated look. Moral: show up on time. Early, actually.
