Her class was difficult, but if you actually read the plays, pay attention in class and attend class on a regular basis it's not bad. She gives out a lot of homework and the final paper is time consuming. Bottom line: if you don't like Shakespeare, you won't like this class.

This class was extremely boring. A lot of the time there was only 6 students that would show up for class. If you read, do the assignments and do good on the test you will pass the class. She talks to much and can be annoying. I am not exaggerating when I say this class is very boring and hard to work up the nerve to show up to.

she has a huge knowledge for shakespeare and is prepared for class everyday. she is a very quiet teacher and at times can be very VERY boring. however if you arent stupid and not miss classes and pay attention in class and write stuff down it is actually very easy. (much easier than speech, and english 101 and up). ALWAYS easy to get a hold of!!!!!

NOT a good teacher. She has passion for english but NOT a passion for teaching. Doesn't care about her students. She marks down writing assignments if she doens't agree with your opinion. SO OLD and UNHAPPY. I think it's time she retires.

At first I didn't like her. She talks really soft and at times she seems completely out of it. But later in the year she became fun. But if you don't like boring teachers...don't take her...she really is into teaching English. At times she can be fun...but you MUST pay attention!!!

wonderful professor! Her knowledge of lit is amazing. She is Suuuper smart. Alot of reading, but if you keep up you will be fine. I learned so much from her. I think she is a hidden gem in the English Department. Take her!!! She's awesome!

Very helpful, if you have any questions she'll help you out. There is a lot of reading but she breaks it all down in class. She gives you a lot of time to work on the research project in class, which is nice. Tests are easy, you can use your book. So take notes in your book and use lots of quotes!! Class was fun you watch lots of video's!!

She might not be a good english teacher but she is amazing in her shakespeare class, she translates line for line, lets you watch different interpretations of it. Very helpful if you arent understanding any of it. She lets you use your book on tests, so take notes in your books!!!

Can never stay awake in this class and if I do I can not hear a word she is saying. I am happy i passed. Will never take her again. Barbara Njus is THE worst teacher EVER. Things that suck about her: *She insults people who don't agree with her. *She is scatterbrained and can't finish a sentence... just trails off into gibberish. *She is VERY strict about her stupid rules (no eating in the classroom, no talking EVER, no late anything... etc). *She doesn't answer questions.

The sole reason why I wasted my money and a semester at Harper. Her class consists of everyone sitting around looking at each other for about an hour while she says maybe 5 words scattered throughout. Mass confusion errupts, and there you have it, you've failed. I'm glad I dropped and re took it with Herriges.

She is horrible. I dont understand half the stuff she tells us. Then going into the research paper we need to know sources before we even know what articles are all about. What sense does that make? Maybe if she explained herself more clearly then it would be easier to understand but since she doesnt she is one horrible teacher
