This professor is AWESOME! Granted, the class is hard, 3 total essays and a 4 essay final, BUT she is really nice and really helpful. For an online class she is very quick to respond to everyone's questions and comments. If you are unable to turn in something on the due date, she will work with you! If English is your subject, make her your teacher

If you love English, this professor is for you. I took her online class. You write about 3 papers not bad. Its an easy A, I hate English so i found her class hard. You do use the book, and you have discussions every week that you must do! Overall she is a good teacher, I just hate english :P

I took her class online- great professor. Highly recommend! She is very helpful and clear with your assignments. Wrote (4) papers. Discussion boards were fun. She responds back to you within 24 hours. I hated to read before her class. Now, I look forward to the next challenge. Thanks Dr. McIllwain!!

I took her Enlish II class online, she is a great teacher. Very understanding and willing to work with you if you have things going on. Easy to get along with and a easy grade if you just follow her directions and apply yourself.

WOW. If all professors were like Dr. McIllwain, then school would be a blast. She's incredibly helpful, and knows more about literature than anyone I've ever met. Hands down, the nicest teacher I've ever had.

Dr. McIllwain was not a helpful teacher at all. She expected students to know what she wanted, but she never gave examples. She did not talk about literary devices and never gave prompts. However, if you do not want to learn anything and get an A take her class. I received an A.
