Comment:
Although she had a very tough semester with health problems, there were bigger issues than the class cancellations. Out of my small class of less than 10 people, she forgot assignments, syllabus content and her students (literally forgetting to tell me multiple times that class was cancelled). Another infamous non-blackboard user too. Yikes.

I know SO many kids that have had the same problem with her: she assigns a LOT of homework, complains about how much grading she has to do, then doesn't put grades on Blackboard until the last month of the semester. She will say "I'm a lazy professor" and forget to grade your work, but then yell at you in front of the class for a small mistake.

Dr. Culleton is a supportive and intelligent individual with a great personality. She develops great rapport with her classes and is always there when you need her. She can be difficult, but I honestly felt she was a huge contributor to my success and really pushed me to think in new and innovative ways. Love love love Dr. Culleton!

The class was The Sixties: American Lit. It was a fun class and Dr. Culleton was very passionate and always a lot of fun. Mandatory that you show up and you're required to do some projects and two papers. The papers are the real weight of the grading.

Very confused why people are giving her such high ratings. She is one of the most unprofessional professors I've ever had. She is honestly very rude to her students and basically has the mentality of "my way or the highway". If she doesn't agree with what you say she will call you out in front of the class. I would not take her again.

I started taking her class without taking the intro and she helped me even before classes started to make sure I had a chance to succeed. She also gave great advice for how to get a job in the field, what work is expected, and gave us great feedback. She doesn't beat around the bush, which is refreshing, and give real-world advice for work done.

I loved her class! She made it fun to go to and the readings were always interesting. she likes it when you talk so come up with things to say. I thought she was really free with her time and her comments on my exams were helpful. She also made me meet with her to discuss my first exam which helped. One of the best teachers at KSU.

She was the worst professor I had at Kent. She misled me after accusing me of plagiarism. I received A's on both tests, an F on a paper she admittedly never read, and failed an extra credit project I didn't actually have to do but was convinced to (cost me the class). She left me a note I still have asking why I bothered trying - unprofessional.

Highest I have ever rated a professor. I feel like I learned a lot of concrete, usable information. Dr. Culleton is no-nonsense, but also genuinely likes most students. Her syllabus is clear and detailed. There are ten equally weighted assignments, so messing up once or twice won't sink your grade. She has real-world publishing experience.

Good teacher, but you have to know the materials and text. Dr. C made class interesting. Exams were difficult, made up most of grade. Occasional pop quizzes that were moderate difficulty helped boost grade.

Intense, knowledgeable, and bursting with endearing spunk. I've never learned more in a class. She might not be the most objective professor, but if you want objective don't take literature courses. On the whole, she's pretty remarkable.

Dr. Culleton is the best. She knows her stuff, she's funny, and makes you love the material, even if you're not interested in it at first. She expects you to read the assignments and really REALLY appreciates those who participate. It really does make for a better class. She tries (and succeeds) in making the material relevant. Love her.

She makes any subject interesting and has a lively personality. She expects you to come to class and do the work, because you're a college student and should go to class and do the work, but don't worry too much; you'll want to, and she gives you all the necessary tools for success. Very fun, fair, and effective teacher. She's great!

Don't let her first day in class scare you. She will literally tell you to drop the class if you aren't ready to work the hardest you've ever worked not to fail. But if you go to class it'll be the most rewarding experience you'll have at Kent.

By far one of the most useful courses I have taken in my college career. She expects a lot, but she is fair, and you will leave this class writing and editing far better than you entered, if you are willing to put in the work.

I had her for Editing and Publishing, which was easily one of the most informative classes I've taken at Kent. You have to put a lot of work into her class, but it is so worth it, as you will learn valuable life skills.

The class was structured well. It did have a large work load at times, but there were breaks with light work. Classes were entertaining and worth attending.

Worst professor I have ever had in all my four years. Shows up to class in a bad mood which makes the lectures difficult to sit through.
