Comment:
Dave is really a genuine person. You can tell he truly cares for the topic that he teaches, and what I like most about him, is that he tries to stimulate your interest in the topic as well. Some of the questions on his midterm and final are pulled from the practice exams so I suggest you do it. Great professor and easy class as well.

Genuinely nice guy. Understands that almost all his students are taking his class because they have to and not ENH majors. Puts everything in the simplest terms and tells you everything you need to know. Exam questions are straight from the study guide so as long as you do that you're good. Easy A as long as you do the study guide with the class average for the exams ~91%. No book and class isn't mandatory but helpful when he explains details. Recommended!!

Class was easy and Burger was a great teacher. He really tries to show how important plants are while keeping your attention. The guest speakers are pretty boring, but all the lectures are turned into podcasts. They don't make up for going to lecture though. He posts study guides for the midterm/final. Worth taking for easy A.

Burger is a good professor because he understands that many of the students are simply there because they have to be, and tries to make the class interesting to everyone. Tests are very easy and based almost entirely off of the practice sets given out. Make sure to have a good general knowledge of topics not on the practice, sometimes they pop up.

Very easy class. Instructor knows what he's doing. He uploads his podcasts so you don't have to go to classes but it really helps if you do. Midterm is mostly mc and easy if you pay attention in class.

Great professor! No textbook, all the slides and podcasts are online, review for midterm and final are almost exactly like the tests themselves, has guest speakers, if you have a question that he can't answer, he'll research it.. I'd highly recommend him!

This class along with ENH6 made me love plants. Let me say the study guide for the midterm is a great crutch. Burger covers a lot and I wish there was more time to go in to more depth. Guest lectures were worth going to.

Easy GE credit, often has outside lecturers come in. Makes use of Powerpoint a lot. Paper is easy if you just get enough sources, and the final only needs you to review the subjects covered previously.

Burger's one of those profs that seem boring, but will do something unintentionally funny that makes you fond of him. Easy class, memorization is key. Grades the research paper really easily- did it the night before and did perfect. My fav part was the last day of lecture, he took us on a tour of the quad and told us interesting facts.

OMG, he is the WORST professor ever. He told you that you will be fine before the final and then SCREW you over and give you a bad grade. Your final grade will likely be VERY different from what you think it will be. Also final exam always contain some tricky questions. AVOID! I am a PhD student at Cornell now. So I am not some lazy ass complaining

Easy GE class. Research paper was a breeze... Some of the practice questions on the site were very similar to those on the midterm and final. Make sure you look those and the notes over. They can really help you. The sad part is that the classroom is very far away.

A very nice teacher. The class is not very hard, either. The only bad thing is this class is SO far away and the room is set up like a high school class.
