Great professor for English. Really nice and she enjoys what she does. You'll have a few papers and some short journals throughout the semester. She gives a rough daft for each paper and lots of feedback. Overall, she's easy and someone you want to take for English.

I am not a fan of english at all and this class was totally manageable. The classes are not boring and she constantly has enjoyable group activities to do. Only a couple papers that are not too long. A real professor.

Typically you read Sci-fi stuff in her EN102 class. If you aren't interested in that don't take her because that is her topic of choice you will have the entire semester. Typically hw is reading &/or journal entries. Journal entries really help when it comes to writing the big papers. She is helpful with the papers and always there to help.

Comment:

Professor Pollak is one of the sweetest teachers I have had. She gives a bunch of papers but most of them are open-ended journals. She usually lets us out of class a little early and she does not really care if you skip a few classes.

Most amazing teacher at Quinnipiac. She helps relate hard topics and hard texts to real life. She always makes class fun and interesting. She is the most understanding teacher. She always has fun activities for each day where she tries to relate current events to older, more mature texts. TAKE HER!

Good prof. Very clear on what she wanted for each essay. Reading was assigned almost every class but it was easy reading and she let us pick which passage the final essay would be based on.

Professor Pollak is an amazing English professor. She is definitely not an easy A, but she really teaches you a lot, and helps you improve your writing. You will have to work hard to improve, but it is worth it. At the midterm I had a B+ and I worked hard to improve my writing the remainder of the semester and she gave me an A.

This professor is one of the best! She makes learning english easy and does it in a fun way. There are still papers and readings that need to be done, but she actually makes it bareable and easy to do. I would recommend taking her for english.

Very friendly and helpful professor. Classes are conducted in group works which kept the class entertaining and helped get to know classmates. I highly recommend her! She helped me improve my writing.

She's a really nice lady. Always willing to help. Gives you a break if you can't turn in paper on time. Does group work every class which keeps a boring English class interesting. I highly suggest her. I would definitely take her again, but her classes fill up quick!

great professor, always willing to meet to go over papers before handing in, 4 5 page papers, 9 journals, can be unclear at times but classes were fun. my writing improved so much with her class. graded on overall improvement not individual grades on papers. awesome lady though, great personality, loves her job obviously! would recomend.

great teacher great lady not a hard class definatly less work than some of the others a couple large papers but she grades easily (there are no grades just final grades) I got a B+ and im not a good writer she gives you comments and if you just do what she tells you you will do well she also lets you out early

The group work and homework assignments were pointless. I felt like I was in the first grade. The papers are a bit harder, but definately not hard to get a B+/A. She's a nice woman who actually takes time to listen to her students.

She is a GREAT Prof. Lots of work, journals and online dissusions almost every night, but they are very simple. Never gives a bad grade, she is very easy to talk to and allows re-writes. Classroom dissussion is awesome. Take her if u can!!!
