Fantastic instructor, hilarious and sympathetic to hard workers. Easy to access outside of class and overall a very intelligent and admirable woman.

Comment:

The coursework isn't too difficult, just reading quizzes and the odd short paper or two, interrupted and concluded by some actually rather complex midterm and final exams. Dr. Wilson is funny, and a true intellectual. There's so much you can learn from her if you just take the time to listen and participate.

Comment:

Dr. Wilson is so funny. She gets straight to the point. Easy class, easy A. If you do the papers and show up to class, you will pass. She does take attendance every day and fails you after 5 absences. The midterm and final are hard and are a lot of vocab that she doesn't cover in class. Do not talk in class.. she will go off on you, rightfully so.

She is a very knowledgeable professor and is very passionate about what she teaches. There is an attendance grade and if you miss 5 classes you will receive an F. She does assign around 6 papers over the course of the semester, but they are fairly easy. The midterm and final are HARD and count for 30% of your grade each. Study hard!

Loved Dr. Wilson. Took Intro to film and watch alot of movies during class time (movies that are not on netflix or anything so you have to come to class) Write a few 1 page papers. 2 big tests, midterm and final worth 30% of grade each. Really fun and easy.

Amazing! Open to her students' opinions. If you speak up (intelligently) in class, she'll like you. Not a lot of homework, except reading. She does not give study guides for her midterm or final. But you don't need them. She tells you EXACTLY what goes on the tests throughout the semester. Pay attention, do the reading, and you're golden, Ponyboy.

I love Dr. Wilson I have took every class she has given for the last 2 1/2 years. She is not easy but you learn so much. She loves what she is doing so you can't help but be interested. Her classes are never boring. You will do a lot of reading. Books and critical essays on whatever material she is teaching.

She's hilarious. Attendence is mandatory, but you have six unexcused abscences. Her midterm and final for this class are easy: identify passages from the novels and short stories you read, answer a few short answers, and write two essays. Honestly, just read the assignments, come to class, and you'll be fine.

She would be an awesome travel partner - has a thought and an educated opinion about everything. What makes her such an extraordinary teacher is that she still maintains a hunger for knowledge and a passion to share. Even if the attendance wasn't mandatory, you wouldn't want to miss her off-beat and humorous lectures. Quite fair.

Man this woman is a NUT! But she does know her stuff. She's really blunt and obessed with sex. Just write papers about men being evil and make up phallic symbols and you'll ace the class. A little Frued wouldnt hurt you either!Sometimes I cant help but wonder if Dr. Wilson really believes what shes teaching,or if shes playing devils advocate!

I took her Modern American Lit class, and quite frankly, the woman is a jerk. She shoots down basically every idea that students have, and if you ever disagree with her, you might as well just shut up for the rest of the semester or drop. Her midterm is hard, and her paper grading is too. Avoid if you can.

Dr. Wilson's online class is a bit tedious and the 20% essays are hard. She is obsessed with the feminist pov of everything and pulls strange connotations out of everything. Her hw assignments are easy but the essays are hard because she just says to write an analysis of the work and dosn't give you any topic.

Obsessed with feminism and weird sexual interpretations of literature, to the point of ignoring other interpretations of the text. Not very clear in lectures because she gets distracted by her own stories easily. funny to listen to her lectures because they're like a stand-up routine but that doesn't help you come test time.
