I was extremely hesitant about taking Harold Camp as a professor, because everyone was constantly avoiding him by the negative feedback from other students. But he turned out to be really great! I understand physics a lot more now than my previous years taking it. As long as you show up and you have a decent math background, you should be fine.

Comment:

Great professor. I know a lot of people complained about him, but it's physics. It's not supposed to be easy. He did a great job at teaching, and was very helpful. He even let me make up a test one evening when I couldn't make it to class on test day. Just doing the reading and homework got me over 100% in the class.

He's a great professor. Very helpful - always wants to make sure everyone understands something before moving on. Just study for the class like you would be expected to, and it's an easy A.

This man is the worst professor I have ever had in my entire life. He laughs at the entire class for not knowing anything but has never once tried to teach anything. Each day he just writes problems on the board and expects us to know what he wants us to do. It is nearly impossible to pass one of his awful handwritten scribbly tests! NEVER TAKE HIM

I stressed all semester over this class. He isn't a very good teacher. He's old and very scatterbrained. Lab is easy but the tests are crazy. I never made an A on any of them.He's very particular and he has a specific way he wants things done and if they aren't done his way he takes points off. Good Luck to those who take him!

Mr. Camp isn't the best teacher in the world. But if you would take the time to study for the test and take notes of the stuff he goes over during class, you can pass the test and class with an A no problem. Just make sure you take time to study, and not just the night before the test. Like everyone else has said he isn't very good at communicating

I've had Mr. Camp for 2 different classes: Physics and Trigonometry. I thought the classes were relatively easy. Most students find him hard, but that's because they're lazy and want everything handed to them on a silver platter.

Mr. Camp wants his students to learn and do well but he just can't teach. He's very hard to understand when he's explaining things, is very scatter brained, and his tests are impossible. His labs are easy but even if you do very well in them you will still fail the class. If you have trouble learning things like physics dont take him.

He is an extremely nice guy with good intentions, but he is somewhat hard to understand. On tests if there is something he forgot to add in the questions he automatically expects you to know to do the part he left out. But the labs are extremely easy.

This man could not teach if his life depended on it. While working problems on the board he is constantly corrected by the one genius in the class. Use pencil! He also rearranges problems instead of just working it out. Simple alegbra is no longer simple. Labs are easy. Tests are hard.

I loved Dr. Camp; he made the class very easy to learn; his tests can be tricky but if you know the material and go to class then it's a cake walk; for some he can be frustrating but that's just the way he teaches, you either pick up the material or you don't; i would take him again
