attendance isn't mandatory for his class and no one in the class really took him seriously. his class overall was pretty easy, if you actually put the work in you can get an A no problem, but his class is pretty boring and he is kind of a pain the process.

The man is a pleasure in class. He lets you bring your laptop so you can do whatever you want while he talks. He is called Easy A Ira by the department for a reason. Hard Access and Excel projects, but they aren't that bad since they can be done in a group. Take home tests.....enough said.

In one word: pathetic. This guy is without a doubt the worst teacher I have had at St. Joe's. He is completely unorganized, has no lesson plan and has no regard for the schedule of his students. He jumps around and changes the curriculum at his discretion. It's a crime that losers like this get tenure when other excellent teachers are refused.

Dude isnt a bad guy at all, the class was pretty easy, you dont have to do the homeworks if you dont want, tests were essay based and hard, but if youre creative with the answers he'll love you . .weird sense of humor and he loves talking about internet dating

at first, dr. yermish is intimidating, and he is kind of unclear about assignments and the obscure assigned readings. however, i really liked this class a lot. he's a lot more helpful and patient than you'd think. and he has plenty of stories.. not related to DSS. he loves creative thought.

I was very impressed with Dr. Yermish. He is an excellent lecturer and has a wonderful sense of humor. His cirriculum expectations are very reasonable. I enjoyed his teaching very much.

ehhh, nice guy but not very clear at all. nothing talked about in class is on tests except for the occasional movies..if you're really smart and don't mind doing a lot of tedious readings then go for it, otherwise stay away.

I wouldn't want to take this class again. Yermish is pretty funny and tries to be helpful, but he talks about the most boring stuff and it's not even on the test. Tests are from the readings, which are very tedious and difficult to wade through. There's also an access and excel project which are not easy either. I'd avoid this class if you can

He is ok to listen to in class, but none of the material in class will be on the exams. Go to the textbook's Web site for sample questions - you will see some on the tests. I never knew where I stood with this class - I told him I was worried about my grade and he said "have faith." What???

not the best but not the worst. hated going to class, he went off on irrelevant tangents, didnt teach book material but tested you on it. hard tests, but you could make up for it on projects. don't take him unless you have to, but if you do just read the book.

Take at risk. If you're computer savy, you'll have no problem. His lectures are boring. His tests are long, essay form. His projects are very long and complex (and seemingly impossible to do).
