I am shocked at all of the negative comments about Professor Duncan. I took her Comp 1 class several years back and thought she was a decent professor. She explained the writing assignments clearly and gave me good feedback. Honestly, some of her teachings helped me become a better writer.

I took her online comp 1 class,& I was NOT impressed with her at all. She gives little to no feedback on your papers. When I would email her it would take days to get a response,&she never really seemed interested in helping&never really answered your questions. Never experienced her in the classroom, but I would not take her online course again.

I took her online class. I was pleasantly surprised by how easy going the class went. The comments here made me worry. Read the material, participate in discussions, and do a 3 of short essays. Easy squeezy. You do need to rely some on your own interpretations of the literature, she doesn't just give you the answers.

Unhelpful. Bad grade on first essay. Submitted second essay for pre-approval, she seemed mad that she couldn't find anything other than two extra commas and extra quotation marks wrong in the essay. Tests are meant to trip you up! Run, scurry, FLEE this woman!

Surprised how bad the comments are. She seemed very helpful if you need it. I was already very good at writing papers, so I cannot vouch for how she grades if you are not experienced. I was bad at symbolism and such and she helped make things obvious to me. This was in-class, I've taken her for comp1 and comp2. No online experience.

Wow, this teacher is absolutely HORRIBLE!!! She is the most biased teacher anyone could ever have. All you have to do is act smart and she will like you and give you a great grade. However, if you talk and score low on your first assignment she will base everything off of that grade and give you a horrible grade no matter how good it is. Horrible!

Worst teacher in my college experience. Very rude. Useless feedback. Unfair grading. No reminders. No helpful emails. Unreasonable time limit on 100 question Mid-term. Unless you are already an expert in literature, you will not get an A in her class.

I consider myself to be good at English, and yet some of her assignments are ridiculous. She's not helpful at all in E-mail (it's an online class), and her tests might or might refer to her notes. Its not uncommon for me to google terms to figure out what she's talking about, even after scouring all her notes, and the textbooks. Not a good class.

Prof Duncan is the worst teacher I have ever had. I took ENGL2410 online & spent more time on it than my other 3 classes combined. I would spend 6-8hrs studying for a test and hardly pass. Never responded to emails or discussion boards, little to no feedback on papers. Would never take her for any other course. NOT GOOD AT ALL!!!!

Tests are incomprehensible even if you know material. Takes days to email you back and weeks to post grades. I had mythology and made an A last semester yet am failing this class over the same stories (iliad etc). I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH that you should find a different professor for this class. A waste of money and time.

I'm taking this Literature of the Western World class online. I really wish I would have gotten a more helpful teacher seeing as how online classes are already confusing. A lot of the stuff she expects us to know is not anywhere in our materials, nor has she made a specific assignment for it.

She grade project unfairly, we worked together as an pair, I made a C, while I provided all the materials and did most of the work, while my partner who did nothing much made an A.The only reason she tells me was that my project isn't focused, because the video clip on my ppt wouldn't play because the comp in school wasn't working right!!!
