He's a good guy, but his lectures don't help you with the material at all. The only reasons to go to class are the occasional note card quizzes (usually 1 question, probably completion grade), and to figure out what his tests will focus on. He doesn't follow the book much, and only discusses concepts in class, not the math, which makes the hw tough

Nice guy, terrible professor. Makes it extremely difficult to take notes (jumps around a lot on the board and with the subject matter). I made an appointment to talk to him about an essay and it was quite obvious he hadn't read it. His grading scale makes no sense and he does nothing to help students understand what their grades will turn out to be

Really messy handwriting. Nice guy and easy class but not a very clear teacher.

Easiest way to fill your lab credit if you don't have interest in the sciences. Joke of a class. Easy if you can write decently and you don't need to really understand the concepts to get full points on the essays.

Not a bad class. Topics change weekly, so if you're not interested in one topic, you're not stuck on it for long. Every class there are several "clicker tests" which count for 15% of your grade, so attendance is pretty important. Only bad thing is weekly essays, which are graded pretty hard. Still, take this class to get our science-lab credit.

He's a total crackhead, but somewhat hilarious at times. His grading scheme makes practically no sense, but is largely based on essays and hw problems. This class is just fine to get the lab science credit out of the way.

He focuses more on the ideas behind physics rather than the mathematics. Take this class to get rid of your lab science requirement.

Great Professor, understands that students in Great Ideas in Science are NOT scientifically or mathermatically oriented and teaches to liberal arts majors 100%. Very fair grading, tells fun stories in class. He reminds me of a grandfather! Take him for Great Ideas!

Hard class, great teacher - very nice, tries to keep it interesting. The homework takes forever, but so does all upper level physics homework.
