This professor is very good at explaining material. However, he is very rude and has no problem letting you know the question you asked is stupid. So if you don't pick up on things once, stay away. He has conversations with his lab assistant about how stupid all the students are, who he is overly friendly with and touchy with (she is a student)

Gallant is arguably the best of the three physics teachers at WNE for 133 and 134. His lectures are clear, he gives students access to helpful powerpoints and he will make his test topics very clear (sometimes giving away the questions themselves.) Tests are short, with 2-4 total questions. His homework is a bit tricky though. Didn't use textbook.

Had him for two "technical physics" classes. Very hard classes, probably tries to cram 4 years worth of physics into two brief classes. I didnt understand a bit of it, but he at least taught me enough to pass the classes. Funny guy though, loves George Carlin.

Dr. Gallant is so funny. He just looks crazy! I was kind of dissapointed that his astronomy class was more about physics, but he made it interesting. All you have to do is study the powerpoints and you'll be o.k. YOU DON'T HAVE TO BUY THE BOOK!

7 Ideas - the physics lecture I took - actually turned out to be much more interesting and much easier than I anticipated. He is very open to questions and is quite clear about what will be on the tests. Tests are very straightforward, and all test material is thoroughly covered in class.

I am a high school teacher who added physics to my certificate. I had Dr. Gallant for most of my physics coursework. He is truly amazing and I recommend the KSU Trumbul campus to my students because of him. Thank you Joe... for everything!
