Professor Dolan is a great professor. He works with his students and has a fair grading style. The feedback and follow ups I got in the class were great. He ensures that students are aware of assignments and helpful and understanding. If you take this class, youll do great under this professor.

One of the best professors at OU that I have had thus far. Had him for 2401, 2650, and 3000. As long as you actually care about the class and show up and try, you will most likely get an A. Read the chapters before class, come to every class and took notes, and made quizlets to study off of the published study guides. I never got below a 97%.

Lectures are not very organized. Just writes code out on the board but constantly changes what he is talking about. Exams are easy when it comes to multiple choice, but expects students to memorize every function as if you have taught the class as long as he has. He's a nice guy and is always willing to help. Not exceptionally good or bad.

He was an absolute joy to have as a professor, he gave great project help during his lectures and was always email accessible. Quizzes are easy if you pay attention and read the book. The exams use multiple choice questions from the quizzes and the written code from the exams comes from the projects, utilize the professor and pay attention.

his lectures are scatterbrained and barely organized. his homework is relatively difficult but i've heard other professors are harder. just be ready to constantly read the book and honestly, his lectures left me more confused

Great guy, great prof! A good understanding and handle on using a debugger (gdb) is absolutely essential for this course (CS2401).

Great CS teacher. I put 5 for "easiness" because he is an easy teacher to contact and get help from. His classes (well, at least 240c) are NOT easy. He will give you lots of work, but he is always willing to answer questions. I sent him tons of emails for help and he always got back to me and was very helpful. Take this guy's class.

He is a really good teacher. He follows the book directly, pretty much everything he says you can find in the book. 50% of the grade is projects, the other 50% is quizzes/tests. Projects can be frustrating but he is always there to help. I highly recommend him for any class

This class was quite boring. Mr. Dolan himself was alright at teaching. he posts all the notes on blackboard so you wont miss a thing, unless a presenter shows up w/ no powerpoint then thats when you need to take notes. class was kinda easy. test questions are kinda tricky. however, i wouldnt recommend him if you're trying to get a high A.
