Comment:

440 is one of the most relevant classes to ANY career. Jonides hones your public speaking/ presentation skills and you will be amazing by the end. He expects a lot but is happy to go over your talk, review lecture material, or discuss future plans. The quizzes are a bit picky, but he drops a few. Take any of his classes, you won't be disappointed!

I have been at Umich for 3 years and he is by far the best professor I have ever had. He is knowledgable, funny, and an all-around great guy. I went into the class with little interest in the subject matter and now I love the subject. If you work hard it is a fairly easy A. Definitely take a class with him, you can thank me later.

Comment:

Jonides is the best teacher I've had for any science course. Thoroughly knowledge, crystal clear explanations, passionate about his work. The class felt like a big family. Whatever course this man teaches I wish I could take. He deliberately never teaches the same class twice so he is always teaching new and current stuff. Couldn't recommend more.

Excellent. Great personality and enthusiastic teaching style. I hadn't taken any psych class prior to 231, but was able to understand everything from his presentation. Readings were a sort of helpful at times. Go to lecture! His GSI, Katherine, also added great things to this class. Go to her office hours and/or his and you'll stand out.

Prof Jonides is AMAZING! i was scared to take this class due to the course description but it was very do-able. the info is so interesting and the labs are great. not tooo much work except you must study to do well, but if you do you'll be fine. Maren and Berke were great as well! (other modules) best class, made me concentrate in neuroscience!

Jonides is the best professor I have EVER had. He keeps you engaged, is an incredibly clear lecturer, making things easy to understand--he lectures in a way where you easily follow everything he's saying even though the subject matter isn't that simple (quite complex actually). Overall, THE BEST!

Dr. Jonides is by far the most amazing professor I have had. You won't find one more devoted to his students than him; if you slack off in this class and don't take the time to enjoy it, you're seriously losing out on an amazing class and man. I absolutely loved him. His lectures were intriguing, and he has an awesome personality.
