This is my second time taking him. If you are a student like myself and enjoy testing but don't want to be concerned with homework assignments, this is your guy! We had four tests - that's it! You must be disciplined enough to read to learn the material. He provides EC, through his grading process. Always a great choice! Had As, but IDK final yet.

Maybe Chemistry is never an easy class to take teach online, but this professor did not make learning easier at all. The materials he provided were not very helpful. I had to teach myself by reading the book. It was quite difficult, but his extra credit gave me a B. I would not recommend him online. Take this in a class setting!

This guy is 100% useless. I have no idea what was the point of having him as a professor for the class. He is not helpful and he is rude. I would not recommend anyone to take his class. Find another online teacher who is useful because you will need help with some of the topics. Also, don't be fooled, he doesn't give a lot of extra credit.

Follow your syllabus! Do not rely on iCollege or any notes he has under the test tab. I never asked for help so I didn't know what else to put. Mastering Chem for homework is harder than the tests, because your answers have to be precise. He does CRAZY tons of Extra Credit, it's like unreal. I have 100 in the class. :)

Stay away from this professor. He is not a good teacher. He is not helpful. He does not communicate with the class at all. Even though it is an online class the professor should still communicate. His audio lectures are outdated and his Power Points are useless. Also he uses points for his grading. Good luck gaining enough points.

Doesn't help. Won't help. Syllabus was obviously made by another teacher and does not go along with this textbook. Homework on syllabus mentions Chapt 1 (5,7,9... etc) There are no 5,7,9's etc in the textbook. It's 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, etc. He isn't clear with anything. No online interaction. I had to order a survival book for this class to learn from.

DO NOT TAKE!! He is difficult to understand. For an online class he only gives one day to do tests...might as well be in class because they may interfere with your other schedules. Video lectures are horrible, you can hear his dog breathing for most of them, not him. Powerpoints all messed up and not in order.

This class was an easy A! I would highly recommend. I'm horrible in science and made an A. He uses powerpoint lecture slides which help me so much. He made it easy to understand. Didn't do well on final but still passed. He gives a lot of extra credit through the 3 test. You have to be super lazy to fail this class

He is very difficult. 20 minutes for quizzes in a lockdown browser that fails, 90 for tests. Doesn't respond to emails and when he does he's condescending. Lots of self teaching in this class. HORRIBLE and would not recommend.

This was a GREAT class. He explained from the beginning what to expect from the class. If you follow his video lectures and the notes you will an A in the class. Highly recommend.

Mr. Gonzalez is straight forward. He explains everything at the beginning of the semester and that is what you follow. He does have extra credit built into his quizzes. The powerponts are a lot of information that you really do not need. Just pay attention to the study guides that is the quiz. You earn the grade you put into the class.

Took online. 4 DQs a week and a quiz. 2 study guides that need to be turned in and 3 tests. They were difficult so make sure you study and watch the videos. Pay attention to the calender when things are due. Gives a lot of extra credit points. EX. Quiz is worth 10 points, you can get 14..4 extra. I would have failed. Not a bad class to take online.

got a B. he has this study guide thats worth 40 points and half the class wasn't aware that it was up, so he reposted and took 5 points off, which was knd of lame. he's not organized and he isn't a compassionate professor so dont email him to ask a favor, just refer to the syllabus if you have questions, cause hes unhelpful and uptight. hes ok tho

Great professor! Chemistry is a hard subject to learn online and he made it easy for me to learn. Make sure you participate to get bonus points. If Chemistry is hard in the classroom setting, what makes people think it will all of a sudden be easier online. Highly recommend him! .

Dr Gonzalez is a good professor. He really will try to help you in any way possible. He has given students in our class his cell phone with instructions to call if you need anything. He is prompt to respond to emails as well. I believe the student reviews you read on here are because students expect Chemistry to be easier online.

I got an A in the online class, but it wasn't easy. He doesn't respond to emails in a timely manner, he made a lot of mistakes explaining concepts, and he doesn't seem to have the best command of the English language. He also didn't provide any notes for most of the chapters. If you are not resourceful or can't teach yourself, it will be hard.
