Comment:

I would not Refer anyone to Taking Enlish 101 With Keenan. Overall A poor Grader, harsh remarks and unfair comments on papers. Not helpfull towards individual Students. Comes off stuck up somtimes. Also She expects you to rewrite all papers usually and fix them if you want a couple points added to your grade. Also 10 minute presenation required.

Comment:

It's a shame that Prof Keenan no longer teaches regular classes at F and M. She is extremely helpful, great at teaching writing (I have really improved since taking her class), and really cares about her students. If you have the chance to take a class of hers, do it!

Comment:

She was hard, but fair. Seriously one of the best I've had at F&M. Funny, smart as hell and engaging. Gave her material a life, even stuff I hated. And SHARP. The school is worse off without her. Anyone who respects a really quality prof would like her. But she's not handing out As.

She's a good teacher, but her three hour class feels very long. If you have a short attention span, stay clear of this class... You'll be asleep by hour two.

If you don't like Shakespeare you won't like this class but Professor Keenan is nice and very laid back about when she will accept assignments. She is also flexible and she's British (it's worth mentioning) so she has a unique sense of humor. Don't cross her though I've seen her lash out at sleepy students.

The class isn't that hard. Only 6 two page papers, which you can rewrite and raise your grade usually a-. Discussions are really interesting. She picks out topics and books that are different to keep things flowing.Helped a lot with my writing.

writing intensive; doesn't believe in giving A's for papers only B+ and lower... it's key to take notes but she's from Europe and has an incredible accent... this teacher is the epitomy example of english as a subjective language...
