I really liked the instructor. His lectures influenced my perspective on religion forever. Very helpful, but asserts his authority. It was very funny to see him get upset with a couple difficult kids. He's excellent with language. Would definitely take again if I were not graduating

He's very subjective and the content of his class is controversial. I really did enjoy it, but it was much tougher than I thought it would be. I ended up with an A, but my friends who worked harder than me didn't just because he didn't like them. I loved the class, but its risky taking unless you know you'll make a good impression on him.

Kamal was one of my favorite teachers at UF. His excitement for the course was contagious. His lectures are always interesting- they go by very quickly- even at 5 pm on a Friday.

It's my 2nd class with him and won't hesitate to take a third. He Loves the subject and takes the teaching very seriously. He makes you think, treats you as an adult and has zero-tolerance for immaturity. You basically love him or hate him

I cannot understand how anyone can find this teacher anywhere near fair. His class is completely subjective and based on his opinion of you. You learn very little and it is a waste of time, poorly structured and highly unorganized. Quizzes are impossible to study for and rarely pertain to the information given in the class.

I took Arabic Culture with him. His teaching is superior. His perspective on culture is challenging yet mind-opening. His verbal skills are impeccable. Prepare to be shocked if you think the class will be an easy A. You lose points for missing class or not participating. The class was too big.

Feriali is funny and obviously enjoys teaching, but is new to it. He loves dialogue in class a bit too much. The syllabus was awful and his attention to it, almost non-existent. He fluctuated in his grading tendencies, sometimes difficult, sometimes easy. The secondary-source material was rarely tested and practically useless.

Kamal rarely could speak a whole sentence without stuttering. He would let his mouth get in front of his brain and become slightly unintelligible. His quizzes were sometimes off topic or completely spontaneous. He is probably one of the nicest teachers I have had at UF so far.

I had Kamal for an Arabic sociolinguistics course. He is new to teaching but is extremely excited about the subject. He explains materials well though he sometimes is a bit disorganized with lesson plans and lectures. The class is relatively easy, with just a term paper and a midterm, and the occassional reading. Kamal is strict on attendance

Kamal is most definitely one of the greatest teachers I had in my whole 4 years at UF. His French/Arabic accent was amazing and he made learning French fun. He also made long lasting impressions!!

He is very nice and helpful..true that he likes to joke around with the students but if something bothers you, you can go up to him and tell him. He is always trying to help the students and is a very good teacher to plus his accent is impeccable.
