LOVE HIM!!!! he is the best professor ever. truly enjoyed him and recommend to each and every person. Makes learning do-able and clear expecations of what he wants. I enjoyed showing up since he is so passionate and has good positivity. For Bus 106 ppl : for sure a solid professor if you know you will/do struggle in this course subject

Comment:

Prof. Harrington was an amazing teacher. He cares greatly about the needs of his students and does whatever he can in order to make them succeed. I had him for Calculus which was more difficult for some than others. But even if it's not your subject area, he works with you and helps you. Would highly recommend!! Also just an awesome guy overall.

Comment:

Had Mr. Harrington for Calculus and it was the most well-oiled machine of a class I've taken. He lays out expectations clearly, grades extremely fast, and has a good class model. Come to class and be ready to work, as his lectures focus on repetition of problems. Very caring guy, ask questions and do your work and you should do well.

Comment:

Professor Harrington made me gain more knowledge in both Statistics and Excel. His class was tough, but as long as you keep up with the homework and his lectures, you will do well in his class. He is always ready to help and gives homework extensions if you ask. He wants everyone to succeed in class, and he bumped everyone's grade by 2 full grades!

When it comes to lectures, he tends to move a bit too fast but will give one on one instructions if needed. Homework points are given merely by doing it and when it comes to midterms/finals, it's curved There are two midterms and one final, all of which are open-book/open-notes. Homework is also reviewed in class and due at the end of class.

SUPER nice and helpful. Overly generous with help and grading. Weekly homework assignments. Values EFFORT over correctness, but will help you as much as you need to get the correct answer. recommended if you're the type that hates math, but if you enjoy it this class is too easy.

Attendance is not mandatory. He is very polite and always says "Thank you":) A lot of homework but it's easy. Easy grader, if you do well(A or A+) in both 2 exams, you do not need to appear in the Final Exam. And you will receive a good grade. He provides 4 hours per week as office hours. Students(We) only use textbooks when doing homework.

He gave a lot of work that we had to do on excel as well as on paper so I often spent 2-3 hours on homework every night before class. However he was an amazing teacher. He would come in early and leave late to help us and make sure we all understood. It was awesome the semester I took his class because he let us have a take-home final :]

Nice guy. Take him if you already have already taken a statistics course or have a strong background in using Excel. He is very intelligent and goes quickly sometimes when doing example problems. If you talk to him one-on-one or go to his office hours he is very, very helpful and wants students to succeed!

I took QMB 106 with him and it is the hardest class I have every taken in all my schooling years. I am not good with excel and not interested in it. If you feel the same DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. Goes fast, miss 2 classes and very hard to catch up. 2 hours worth of homework every night. Countless no. of assignments. Otherwise very smart & organized.

His class was okay. Lectures are not mandatory, but labs are. Hwk/labs took forever. He spoke fast, but always was willing to help. I noticed favoritism in my class so that was a major strike against him. I say he is okay to take, but I preferred Sidaoui. Overall = take as a 2nd option.

Very nice teacher. Sometimes students may get lost in his explanations, but he loves it when someone stops him to ask a question. Moderate amount of work. Recommend him for QMB!

Harrington is a really good QMB teacher because he cares alot about the student and their growth in the class. He tends to favor some people but will make sure everyone knows the material. Prepare to do more work in this class than your average college course. In the end, its worth it, he's alot better than the teach I had before (Jock Christie)

One of the best professors i've had at USF. Loved his class...learned so much and it's easy if you go to class and take notes!
