I have loved writing my entire life and this class completely ruined it for me. There is so much to do on your own time outside of this class that it's not for someone with a full-time job, or literally any other obligation. She's also quite disorganized and most lecture content comes from Wikipedia.

This prof was beyond unorganized. Coming to this class ruined my mood every single day. She will tell you to do one thing, not be very specific, and when you go online it says to do something completely different. She assigns several group projects to be done at the same time. We also had to drive somewhere for the majority of our projects

This professor is the absolute worst. I have never actually hated a professor 100%. Lemme tell y'all why. The class has no structure whatsoever. She assigns multiple projects at once, the assignment guidelines are different than what she says in class, and she randomly adds new pointless things at the last minute. You will be miserable.

AWFUL Expects so so so so much of students and is sassy constantly. One project required groups of students to drive to random peoples houses up to an hour away (using our own gas money and scheduling it around all classes and work schedules) and interview them about their dog and family. Do not take this class.... it legitimately broke my spirit

This professor is awful. If you want an easy A with very minimal amount of work, this is your kind of class. If you ACTUALLY WANT TO TRY TO WORK FOR YOUR GRADE this isn't for you. A lot of her grades are completion grades. She assigns too much and then won't actually grade anything truthfully. I hate this professor and this super ridiculous class.

She's a tad unorganized but she's constantly working to better herself for her students, & that's really admirable. You gotta pay a good chunk of money to have a mandatory website, but it's worth it for your future portfolio. Really nice lady & will actually really miss her class.

Dr Korn has an interesting class where we read parts of many different American Literature authors. Our homework was online with summaries and group discussions. I did not think I would enjoy the class, but it turned out to be a good class.

Dr. Haimes-Korn is so unorganized! Takes forever to get your grades back!! She doesn't grade tough but since it takes forever to get your grades back you're left hanging. Study for the test!! But don't bother buying the textbook- waste of money after the first 2 weeks. She also decided to "add" pop quizzes for the 2nd half of the semester- what?!

Dr. Haimes-Korn makes you work for your grade. You have a reading for every class, she splits you into teams so she doesn't have to do as much work, and there are discussions online each weekend. Her exams aren't multiple choice, but they are relatively easy and based on ppts. Pop quizzes during the second half of the semester. Don't miss class.

Completely unorganized. Did not give a syllabus for 2 weeks, so you didn't know the work load until after add drop. Gave less that 48 hours to get one or two 500-word blog posts and all these modifications to this blog that we had to pay for. Refused to let us use the free version. Way too much homework and not enough time to get it done.

My semester's work was mostly done on a blogging platform. There's pretty much daily homework, but as long as you keep up with it, it's not that bad. She really takes her time for her students, and she'll work with you as long as you get your stuff done. Definitely recommend but just be prepared to work and participate

Professor Haimes-Korn is a really great instructor. She grades very fairly and does not assign too much homework. All of her assignments are meaningful and most are even enjoyable. She is a little unorganized and does not outline the assignments for the semester so it's a little difficult to plan ahead. Otherwise, she is a great teacher!

She tries to teach two classes in one. She could easily cut a lot of content. She has great ideas, but buries students in overall workload. The Reflection Papers are a waste of time. Blogs are a great idea, I've produced high quality work. She needs to do one larger, higher quality project instead of two. The deadlines make no sense for her demands

Dr. Haimes-Korn is a nice lady who makes you do a lot of work. I got an A in her class but most definitely had to work for it. It'll probably be your "hardest" class, by workload alone. Don't miss class, keep up with the assignments, participate in your group, and you will be an A or a B.

Overall, class is easy, she can be confusing on directions, and the work seems almost pointless, doesn't have a grading system, but I can't say its an easy A. Good person, but could do better teaching, not a bad teacher at all.

She pushed the class back two weeks because she couldn't stay organized and present the info clearly. We had to print everything multiple times in addition to buying a text book that was used maybe three times. She would never grade anything until the end of the semester, making it easy to lose or forget work.

I had Physics, C++, DiffyQ, and I put more work in this class than I did all of the others combined. We had Exp. writings every day that were 700 to 800 words in length and there will be 30 of them by the end of the class(Also, two take home writings based on exps, for midterm and Final). She is Straight forward, yet be prepared to work hard.

The two people below have no idea what they are talking about. HK is a nice lady, but she gives too much unnecessary work. You will write multiple papers a week and will be forced to remember things you will never use or remember in the first place. gives a lot of filler/busy work. you have to write an analysis for everything. Useless.

ATTEND ALL CLASSES and participate - that's the point of learning; not a monologue. She is open; work with her if u're having any trouble AT ALL. Read her outline/handout for the given assignment and u will understand her intents with the hw.Things get messy quickly, but she makes more concessions for students than most teachers. Just participate!
