He held a private reading of his "Che Guevara in the River des Pères Valley" back in 2005 for me and several others which was nice. It is now his most popular lecture. Impassioned delivery.

Great Teacher. Makes you laugh. Goes very slow. Repeats his message so it sticks in your brain. Takes his time to teach slowly. Not much readings to do. A very likable person. Has good knowledge over his subject area

easy, easy class. beginning was a bit weird w/ the philosophical aspect of culture, but after that we only had guest speakers. you don't need to attend class, attendence isn't taken. only grades are take-home midterm and final paper. FUN GUY!

Dr. Garcia is always willing to help. Although it is sometimes hard to follow and take notes, he is willing to repeat as many times as necessary. Likes to know every student in his class/program. Great prof, + he has the most amazing stories.

Class is laid-back and informative, but nothing goes into too much depth. Endless philosophy discussions are a bit awkward with the language barrier and are a bit excessive. Great person and very helpful.
