I took this as an online class. Dr. Jiang is very kind, caring, and understanding. Only 1 written paper and 10 multiple choice questions after each chapter. 16 chapters total. 3 Tests and a Final but If you have an A going into the final you do not have to take it. Easy class exceptional professor.

She is the sweetest lady ever! You can tell that she cares about the students and she wants them to pass. She responds to all of your questions and helps you with anything you ask. Best professor I've had, take her!!

Comment:

I loved Dr Jiang. Although her lectures did get a bit dry for me, I found the class to be quite easy. She gives out like 80EC points before each test and if you have an A a couple weeks before the final you do not have to take it. I would definitely take her.

Comment:

Love her. She wants everyone in the class to pass and it's obvious. Gives out a lot of extra credit opportunities in class. Don't skip class, it counts as a part of your grade & she keeps track. Sends out study guides. Very helpful if you have questions. Would take her again if needed.

Excellent professor that effectively teaches difficult subject matter without making anything overly complicated. Helped me to enjoy classes I was previously intimidated about taking. A great teacher, advisor, and person to know on campus. Always available to help! More teachers should aspire to be like her.

one of the most interesting classes I've ever taken. I learned so much about a new culture without the stresses of most classes. Tries her hardest to make class as informative and entertaining as possible. Very laid-back and enjoyable while still being educational. The most you can hope for in a class! Highly recommended.

One of the best teachers I have ever had the privilege of taking a class from. Is always available to help for students who apply themselves. Very straightforward and encouraging. Take as many classes from her as possible, always communicates ideas effectively and stress-free. Very organized and professional and cares about her students!

Undoubtably one of the best professors I've ever had. Dreaded taking stats for years, and actually wound up enjoying the class. Always available to help, always responds to emails. Incredibly complimentary and encouraging. Highly recommend taking her for as many classes as possible. Is everything a professor should be!

course would hard with any other prof. but Dr. Chi is a great prof. very helpful, if you show up for class, she hates people to walk in later or be no-shows. only 1 test, computer assignments are easy. Research proposal is hard, but it's done in a group.

Dr. Qi is awesome!! She's one of the nicest profs on campus. *She's now dept. chair*. She makes stats SO easy to understand. I was completely intimidated by stats until I took Dr. Qi. Now...I'm looking for work in statistical research. She's wonderful!!
