Professor Leary is a passionate, caring, and inspiring teacher. Never have I encountered a teacher who is not only extremely passionate towards his subject matter, but also about imparting his vast knowledge and wisdom to eager students. Easily the best professor I ever had and probably one of the best there is. Take his class!

Hands down the best professor I ever had. He is funny, he keeps the class engaged and makes sure everyone is understanding the material. His tests are diffcult, but he gives you a study guide and is always available after class if you need more understanding on something. generally the sweetest older man. he's really passionate about chemistry!

Be more honest, if you dont have time to read textbook, take Mr. Leary is easy pathway to get A. He's the best professor that i ever took. just review all lecture ( only what he's said in class will pop up in the exam) plus do all handout that he give you. if you do all every question in handout, you will be easy to get A like me. very recommenced.

Leary is a great professor. Has been teaching for many years, know how to teach a class and keep the class engaging and fun. He will over explain so that you are comfortable with the material. his tests are designed to challenge you, but that only means that he wants you to really think. recommend him for sure!

LL Cool Ray! Hands down the best professor Ive had at Mont Co. He always has a story to tell, and somehow always manages to tie it back to chemistry in ways that are relatable and understandable. Always keeps class entertaining. A true gem!

Excellent teacher. Gives you many opportunities/chances to be successful in his class. Outlines provided for every test, quizzes provided to easily boost grade. Oldschool but would definitely take him again if given the opportunity.

Two hour class of him straight lecturing the whole time, and ranting on with unrelated stories. Never let students figure out problems themselves. Test are EXTREMELY hard all short answer, must study everyday after class. Lots of homework never checked for credit, handouts are nothing compared to test, and final is EXTREMELY DIFFICULT!!

Professor Leary is the man!! He made chemistry a fun subject to learn. His stories are funny and all relate back to chem. I highly recommend Leary he truly cares about his students and loves what he does. No science course is easy but he provides plenty of practice so its just up to the student to keep up with it and study

Professor Leary aka LL Cool Ray! This professor was very helpful and knows his stuff, HOWEVER the tests given are extremely hard. You must study hard in order to pass this class, but overall the Professor is great.

He is super funny. I am not good at Science but he is very helpful. The quizzes are online, he will give u handouts to study for the test/quizzes. Makes sure you got the material and passes. He really cares about his students I would definitely recommend this professor.

This professor has a true passion for chemistry. His tests are all short answer, for he expects you to bring your mind to the test and leaves nothing to chance of a multiple choice guess. He makes up stories to remember chemistry and explains it in layman's terms first and then gives the scientific jargon. Great prof if you want to learn something

Very confusing but willing to try and help. Gives lots of homework. Tests are NOTHING like the handoutshomework he assigns. Will intentionally try to confuse you with exam questions. Final was RIDICULOUSLY hard, and a lot of the material was never covered in class. Tells lengthy stories about himself that have nothing to do with chemistry.

Taking Mr. Leary now for Org. Chem. He tells a lot of stories & jokes, which are usually pretty corny, but they tie into chemistry & are nice mental breaks in class. He's a very knowledgable chemist and knows how to present the material in a learnable way. He's very helpful, but you must study because the exams are tough. Highly recommend!

This guy here is the best chemistry teacher hands down! i totally recommend his to anyone taking CHE 121. He is funny and has a true passion for chemistry I've never seen before. His story definitely help you have a better understanding in his teaching. His class were long (2hrs) but to be honest he makes it fly by so fast.

He is such an awesome teacher! He is funny and helps clear the confusion you might have. He also gives out practice packets & does reviews. It was a long class but to be honest he makes it fly by soo fast! However stay focus or you will get lost and when he says to memories something best believe you must remember it by heart or you won't pass!

Comment:

Typical old-school professor. Tests are 60% of your grade and he doesn't round. Go to class to get the lab points. Talks a lot and doesn't explain everything too clearly. If your test scores don't add to a passing grade, he doesn't offer any opportunity for students to bring it up their grade besides a 2 point bonus assignment. Don't recommend!!

Worst professor I've ever had, and dropped his course because of it. He tells more stories and goes on and on and on about useless information rather than actually teaching the material, and he tries to tie those stories into what we're learning. Take his class only if you know chemistry inside and out.
