I got A's on every single one of my papers in English yet could not manage to get above a C on any of his papers. YOU WILL HAVE TO GO TO THE LIBRARY FOR RESEARCH!!! He actually makes you have print sources and wants you to work with librarians. You will also read until you die. The reading assignments are endless and he has quizzes on them often.

Comment:

There are days when you really don't want to attend class, but he always comes to class with a plan and the schedule is usually spot on with what you're going to complete for the day. Class participation is 20% in the class, so speak up! Work hard on the paper too. I had a C and he helped me get a B by doing an extra assignment at the end.

Comment:

He teaches a lot of information about research that you won't learn in other history classes. Mid term was brutal, but there's no final. Gives lots of auxilary assignments that take up some time. Is willing to help you out, even to increase your grade. He's the library director, so you can't pull any tricks on this guy.

god help you if you end up with this guy. i'm writing the final paper right now, and its the most rediculous thing i've ever had to do. just becuase he has nothing better to do than sit in the library and do huge amounts of research means you will too
